Small, unique and traditional Norwegian cabin, straight across from a waterfall and river where you will take your morning swim. This cabin will offer you a truly back to basics experience and the opportunity to be at one with nature.
Life in this cabin is easy; stocked with logs, gas, candles, bird food & tap water. All you need to do upon arrival is light the fire, the candles and start enjoying the cabin & it's amazing nature around. You have your own private parking next to the cabin.

The space
There is electricity in the cabin, but no running water. You will find your own stream in the back garden where you can access fresh water for drinking, cooking and cleaning. There is a fire place in the cabin and an outdoor fire pit for hot dogs & marshmallows! We have two gas heaters for extra heat should it be necessary. A gas cooker in the fully equipped kitchen. The cabin has a double bed in the bedroom and a sleeping sofa in the living area, with space for two. There is a bunk bed in the Annex with space for two adults or two kids, but only really ideal to use during summer months. The cabin is ideal for two adults & two kids.
The outdoor toilet is found inside the wood/storage outhouse, along with plenty of outdoor furniture, BBQ, backpacks for hiking, backpack w. full Picnic Set, outdoor cooking gear, wood and lots of bird food for topping up the bird feeders.
Feel free to use our cross country skis & shoes during skiing season.
You can top up tap/drinking water for free at the SPAR supermarket in Eggedal.

Guest access
The property contains three different buildings that guests will have full access too.

Other things to note
We provide 4 duvets, 2 sleeping bags & 6 pillows. We provide 4 big and 2 smaller towels.
We kindly ask you to clean the dishes & sweep the floors before departing, and appreciate if you leave the cabin as you found it.
Please note that you can not put any liquid down the indoor sink/basin, as it’s a no running water cabin.
Please treat the cabin with respect as it’s very old :)

Tidy Mum with two kids (5 & 8), loving nature, cabin life, exploring & hiking. Renting out our lovely family cabin outside Oslo, it’s a two hour drive. We use Airbnb regularly ourselves around Norway and Europe when traveling. It’s cheaper, interesting and more practical when you have kids, instead of staying in hotels!
