We booked the house for 3 weeks prior to arrival in Sri Lanka and in accordance with the price expected to medium-sized apartments. Availability from the shore for us was not important.
The first surprise was the opportunity to meet us at the airport in Colombo, which was able to organize Dolitha - despite a slight delay. Road to Induruwa took 2 hours with a stop to buy fruit, water and everything necessary for 2.5 weeks.
The house is in excellent condition, both living rooms with ceiling fans, beds with mosquito nets. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for cooking - ceramic hob, crockery, cutlery, refrigerator with freezer.
You do not live on the beach with barkers, you do not disturb the machine - the house is a little village in the back, around you every morning, squirrels, monkeys, Kingfishers and fireflies.
The most important thing - it's the people who helped us feel at home - Dolitha and his family, the family of his brother and Achchi Amma, the mistress of the house. We travel a lot, but have seen people willing to help make our stay in the country the most memorable.
Safari in the national park - no problem, jeep safari in the surrounding area - no problem, shops, advice on products and stores. We had a local prices fishermen, merchants of spices, we passed on the beaches nearest hotels. Dolitna knows every resident in Induruwa and it helps with everything.
We will definitely return and be sure to wait you in Russia one day. Thanks, Dolitha & Achchi Amma!
