Located just 2 miles from the pretty fishing village of Clonbur, County Galway, on the isthmus between the famous fishing lakes of Lough Corrib and Lough Mask,
this very attractive holiday rental has much to offer holidaymakers, fishermen and women, mountain climbers, walkers, cyclists, artists, writers
and all those who enjoy Country pursuits in an area of outstanding scenic beauty’.
Mountain Cottage is located about 600 ft above sea level, and half way up Mount Gable, with stunning views of Lough Corrib.
There are numerous Mountain walks and trails up the mountain than can be enjoyed, with superb views out over the Lake and Mountains.


Clonbur is ideally situated to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the West of Ireland, with a wealth of Country and Rural activities
at your doorstep such as;


Mountain walking, swimming, horseriding, fishing, watersports and so forth;
Clonbur Woods are accessed just a short drive away from this rental, and offer beautiful well marked trails through the forests along the shores of Lough Mask.
The village has several friendly pubs with great traditional music and meals on offer.
The local Supermarket is well stocked with bakery, butchers, full grocery and off licence.

Killary fjord – Located at Leenane, 45 mins drive and access to many beautiful beaches.
Cruises of the fjord can be taken from Leenane
.An 18 hole golf course is 15 minutes away at Ballinrobe.
Shopping in Galway and Old Galway City. 45 mins.
Lots of lovely pubs, restaurants and shops. Cong Abbey ruins are very beautiful,
if you are looking for peace and tranquility.Ballintubber Abbey is just 35 mins. away.
