Experience the tranquillity of the Gordano Valley from our beautiful Shepherds hut, 'Come Bye'. Looking out over the valley and pasture grazed by horses, with access by foot directly onto Walton Common and miles of coast path walks. Get to know the local wildlife and our seaside town of Clevedon just a mile away.

Breakfast pastries and fresh eggs will be brought to your door on request. Come and enjoy the peace of the Gordano Valley totally undisturbed.

The space
'Come Bye' has its own composting toilet and wooden shower cabin located within your private garden area just behind the hut.
Fresh towels and a complimentary welcome pack are provided for you during your stay.
In the garden area there is seating and a dining table as well as our fire pit BBQ for use during your stay. For lazy summer days a hammock will be provided for lounging in, and for cosy winter nights the woodburning stove is perfect for simmering a stew or warming your toes.
The double bed is a comfortable place for a snooze or a long nights sleep with Devon Wool filled pillows, duvet and matress topper.
There is an induction hob, wood burning stove top and electric kettle, toaster, and mini fridge in the kitchen area. If you are feeling like experiencing traditional shepards hut cooking, we also provide a woodburning stove top stew pot for your use.

Walton in Gordano is like a relic from the past. Very little has changed over hundreds of years and the traditional cottages and homes of this 'estate' village remain mainly unchanged. Walton Common Nature Reserve which is accessible directly from the hut is a haven for wildlife and beautiful woodland walking paths. Explore its 25 hectares of open space, fauna and flora and meet the resident Dexter Cattle. Walton Common is both a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and home to the prehistoric remains of a Scheduled Ancient Monument called the 'banjo'.
You can walk from the common along the footpaths down near to the village of Weston In Gordano where there is a really good pub called ‘The White Hart’. They serve great food, have lots of seating and a lovely outdoors space for summer evenings.
From the hut you can also access Clevedon golf course which has some lovely walking routes, and the coast path, both of which can take you into Clevedon to access the Grade 1 pier, and all the wonderful boutique shops and independent bars and restaurants of Hill Road.
