Pendunes is a luxury, spacious townhouse in St. Ives, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Recently refurbished, the house sleeps 9 with parking for 2 cars (one large and one medium). Overlooking the pretty harbour with the backdrop of a turquoise sea. A quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the vibrant town but only a five minute walk to the centre. There you will find bars, restaurants, shops and six beaches.

The space
Your holiday starts when you step from the beautiful terrace with comfortable seating for eight people through the front door of this elegant Edwardian townhouse. Inside you will find a space to relax that suits you. The family can spend time together in the spacious dining/sitting room or you can relax in the more intimate areas of the mezzanine, sun terrace or courtyard, where you can sit and have some quiet time.
Situated in a private terrace, with no passing traffic.

Guest access
Guests will have the entire house to themselves during their stay and Pendunes has the benefit of parking for up to two cars (one large car and a medium sized car), which is a rare bonus in St. Ives! If you have three cars, two larger cars or one particularly large vehicle, you will need to make use of a public car park: the nearest is located on Park Avenue (the terrace below Sea View Terrace) and there is one a little further away, adjacent to the leisure centre on Trewidden Road. Both are reasonably priced.

Other things to note
Check-in and check-out at Pendunes is on a Saturday (other than Christmas and New Year). Please let us know if you would like to stay for more that 14 nights.

The house has 4 bedrooms, two of which have super king-size beds. The other two have zip and link beds, either of which can be made up either as twins or as a king-size bed. There is a fifth area on the mezzanine level (between the ground and first floor) which has a sofa bed suitable for one person. This area does not have a door but it is up a short flight of steps off the main staircase and offers reasonable privacy. You can see the room in the photos. If you would like the sofa bed to be made up as a bed, there is an additional linen charge of £50.

We welcome two well behaved dogs at an additonal charge of £80 per stay.

We also have a £250 refundable Good Housekeeping Deposit, payable six weeks before the check-in date (or upon booking if check-in is less than six weeks away). We’ll let you have our bank details once you have booked.

Neighbourhood highlights

One of the main attractions to holiday makers is the surfing and surf school at Porthmeor beach, where you can take surfing lessons, hire wet suits and boards. This is just one of the many activities available in St Ives. In the harbour you will find high speed boats taking you on sea safaris and charter boats for sea fishing. We are lucky to have both The Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum on our doorstep. You will discover numerous art galleries and workshops where you can learn to paint or make your own jewellery and pottery . We even have a chocolate making workshop! All this along with its picturesque fishermens’ cottages, cobbled streets, coastal walks and six beaches, make St Ives the premier destination in Cornwall.

A short drive will take you to the south coast of Cornwall and the pretty villages of Marazion, with the remarkable St Michaels Mount, The ancient harbour at Mousehole, and Newlyn, with its colourful port and fresh sea food. Lands End is only 16 miles away and the amazing cliff top out door Minack Theatre is well worth a visit. Further afield are the Eden project about a 60 minute drive, Falmouth and Truro both well under the hour. If you are feeling adventurous you can have a day trip to the Scilly isles, by taking a fifteen minute helicopter flight or a more leisurely boat ride. These are both found in Penzance.
