Welcome to our family’s 200 year old cottage! Ideal for a family looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday close to the beach on the Wild Atlantic Way. 5 mins drive to Old Head Beach (Blue Flag) with pier and water sports, 1.5km to Louisburgh, 13km to Westport. A lovely feature is the large sheltered gardens surrounding the cottage. Sleeps 6 in 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin, living/dining room with open fire, shower room, kitchen. Lots of light and character and we hope you enjoy this peaceful place.

The space
The house has a really charming exterior and a lovely mature cottage garden. Small entrance hall with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom to the left. The shower room is off the hall (with an electric shower).

Then off to the right is a lovely bright living room with a dining area and open fire. TV with Irish channels.

Behind the living room is the third and largest bedroom.

To the side of the living room is the little kitchen area, it’s bright and fully equipped with all you need for a long term stay - oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dish washer.

Outside we have a large, mature and restful garden, loads of room for picnics, football, reading or having a snooze!

Garden shed has a washing machine and dyer for our guests.

Hello, we are John and Margaret, owners of the cottage. Margaret was born and reared in this cottage and has really happy memories of growing up in Ballyhip and spending time down the river with her dad and the fishermen. This cottage has been home to four generations of our family as our daughters and grandaughters have also lived here over the years. Now the cottage is moving into a new journey and our family are delighted to be inviting new families to come and stay.
