This lovely little space is exactly as described and the house is indeed walking distance to all that there is to see and do in Wellington - it's very well located. It's a great space, perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. The welcome bottle of Pixie was a really nice treat!
Our stay at the Studio House was excellent. The pictures are accurate. The home was decorated tastefully. We loved the old beams and all the charming touches. Also, the sparkling rose left in the fridge was a lovely touch!
The Studio House is perfectly located. It is within walking distance to the beach and the main strip with restaurants and grocery store. From Wellington it is a short drive to Bloomfield and the Sandbanks provincial park.
We had such a great stay! Thank you, Rebecca and Stewart! We will be back.
My friends and I had a wonderful time staying here. The house is very beautiful. The location is also great, close to the shops in town and the beach. The hosts were very helpful in making sure that the place was ready for our group (example - enough linens for all 5 of us).
Me and our family had a great week in Studio House. My 5 years-old daughter appreciated the bunk bed, playing alone with her toys. The house is the perfect size for a 4-persons family and the beach + park are not far. Our best spot was North beach Provincial Park (15min. from Wellington) where you can choose between waves (Ontario Lake) or the quiet North Bay. Highly recommended.
Would like to share a positive review for the Carriage House / Studiohouse PEC. The photos are a true depiction of this great retreat in the county. It is located in a very convenient spot between many wineries, restaurants and gorgeous beaches (they even included a park pass). The house is very family friendly with lots of places to sleep, eat, and relax. The décor is the right amount of 'county' feel with modern plumbing (my 5 yr old daughter and 10 yr old niece loved the big tub and rain shower). Comfortably accommodates 4 plus room for two more in the loft. Parking is easy (pull right up to the door) and the hosts knew exactly what we needed without us asking. A wonderful home-base for your get-away in PEC!
This is a beautiful space! It was very clear from the moment we walked through the door how much attention has been paid to every detail of the house. Studio House was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We really appreciated the beautiful bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival and all the local information in pamphlets and books in the space were a great help. Our only minor complaint was that the house is right off of a main road which got a little noisy at night, but it didn't keep us up and overall we felt quite at home and enjoyed our stay very much. We will be back for sure!
We loved everything about our stay at the Carriage House. Rebecca was wonderful and the process was easy as pie. We had a great local wine and lounged in the cozy living room then walked to the Drake Devonshire for an incredible dinner. The sleeping loft was the perfect spot to hideaway for the rainy night. This is the ideal getaway for the discerning visitor. Perfectly designed, a walk to great cocktails and a world class meal. Can't wait to come back!
About the Host, Rebecca
My husband Stewart and I have lived in the County for 2 years now-he is a visual artist and I have a food truck (PicnicPEC) and work in the television industry. We are so pleased to be able to provide accommodations to people who would like to experience Prince Edward County. There is so much to see, do and eat here and we will happily guide you along according to your interests. From antiquing, cycling, winery tours, farmers markets, beaches, fishing, golfing, picnics spots and great restaurants, there is something for everyone. And we are happy make suggestions. When we travel we love to fully immerse ourselves in the area; shop for local food, cook at home and eat out. That is why AirBnB is such a great option for people who like to travel in this way.
