We were absolutely delighted with this property - Rebecca and Stewart have done an amazing job of blending modern elements with County charm and the richness and warmth evocative of the character homes and history of the area. The house was incredibly spacious for two couples and a great jump off point to take in all the county has to offer - we walked to get coffee and to the Drake for dinner and were a short trip away from all the wineries and other sights on our list. As hosts, Rebecca and Stewart were a dream to deal with and our stay was seamless: we were even greeted with a delicious bottle of wine upon arrival. Would definitely return!
The studio is exactly as described - a beautifully restored carriage house. Despite the cold outside (mostly -20 degrees), the studio was warm and cosy with it's gas stove. The house is a perfect getaway for one person or a couple; amazing how relaxing it was!
Rebecca answered my questions right away and provided me with a detailed list of where to find what. I happened to meet her and her husband Stewart Jones (artist) at the Drake as I sketched a musician under Stew's tutelage. They both helped make Wellington a warm and friendly place.
This place was very cozy and lovely to stay in. Was much bigger than even expected as well. It is on the main street of wellington and close to all amenities. Rebecca was a good host and quick to reply to any questions I had. The whole stay was a smooth process. I would stay here again
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great little cottage. Very "hip" decor. Recent renovation. Owner is very nice. Will return.
My family and I spent our Christmas holiday at Rebecca & Stewart's carriage house in Wellington. We had an excellent time there. The place was clean, well equipped, and exactly as shown in the photos. Our timeline for arriving before Christmas was very tight, and Rebecca very kindly found us a Christmas tree and set it up for us. And when we needed a few extra cooking utensils to prepare our holiday meal, we were able to borrow them. Our kids (both adults) quite enjoyed the spiral staircase to the loft sleeping area. I would recommend the carriage house to anyone who wants to have a pleasant living space while visiting the County.
My girlfriends and I stayed at the Carriage House in Wellington this past weekend and had a wonderful time! The space is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed. Rebecca gave some great suggestions for things to see and do around Wellington. I would absolutely stay here again when coming back to Prince Edward County!
My husband Stewart and I have lived in the County for 2 years now-he is a visual artist and I have a food truck (PicnicPEC) and work in the television industry. We are so pleased to be able to provide accommodations to people who would like to experience Prince Edward County. There is so much to see, do and eat here and we will happily guide you along according to your interests. From antiquing, cycling, winery tours, farmers markets, beaches, fishing, golfing, picnics spots and great restaurants, there is something for everyone. And we are happy make suggestions. When we travel we love to fully immerse ourselves in the area; shop for local food, cook at home and eat out. That is why AirBnB is such a great option for people who like to travel in this way.
