The newly renovated 1000sq ft guest cottage was built in the early 1900's. Guests will experience the authentic rustic charm without having to sacrifice the modern day amenities. The cottage conveniently located on our 14 acre family farm that is surrounded by the Croatan National Forrest and farmland offering you peaceful privacy minutes away from NCs beautiful beaches and historic sites.

The space
Each bedroom has a full size bed, closet, and mirror. There is one bathroom, a reading/office area, laundry room with a stackable washer and dryer, and a living room big enough for the whole family. There is a large back deck with a stainless steel grill and fire pit for guest to use. Separate drive and driveway large enough to fit multiple cars, boat trailers, horses trailers, and/or campers.

We also have 50amp hookup on the property available $40/night.

If you are looking for a place to bring your horses; we have a separate paddock area with water large enough to accommodate 2 horses. $50/night per horse. Proof of coggins and current vaccinations are required prior to arriving at the farm.

The cottage is just minutes away from some of NCs most popular vacation destinations. Emerald Isle 15 minutes (USA Today voted Emerald Isle Beach the #1 Beach in NC 2018), 10 minutes away from Morehead City home of the famous Seafood Festival, 20 minutes away from the historic town of Beaufort, 15 minutes from Atlantic Beach. - crystalcoastnc.org

There is a public boat ramp 5 minutes down the road. If you don't have a boat don't worry, the cottage has a 2 man kayak with paddles for guest to use.

Our home is located towards the back of the property. We have a separate entrance and you will not be able to see the house from the cottage. The horses and alpacas are in the pasture right next to the cottage feeding time is around 5pm everyday. Please do not go inside the pasture or feed any of the animals without our permission. We have dogs that run free on the property as well as chickens, a pig, and a turkey. They typically stay in the back but if they do come to see you they are friendly

We offer self check-in, but are available for any assistance questions, or concerns that you may have. If you would like to meet the animals and experience life on the farm that can be arranged too

In 1992, my parents bought a dilapidated farm house on 14 acres surrounded with pines and backing up to the West Prong branch of the Newport River. They dubbed it The Farm. For the next two years, all their spare time was spent working on the farmhouse to make it a home. I'm not sure if they knew it then, but they weren't just fixing up a house for us to live in, they were planting our roots. Once the farm house was habitable we ditched suburbia and moved full time to The Farm. In 2003 we went off to college. My parents cleared some land and built a house towards the back of the property. After they moved into the new house they rented out the farm house to friends and family until 2019. It needed some work before we put it back on the market. In October 2020 I finished most of the renovation projects and decided to see how it would do on Airbnb. The Farm isn’t just a destination; it is a feeling, a slower pace, a sense of calm, a place of serene joy!
