Conveniently located in the heart of Bethesda, my bijou space will take you to the middle of the urban scene. It is close to shops, restaurants, supermarkets and everything you need. Oh, and the Bethesda Metro stop is less than a 7 minute walk away.
While small overall, its ample one-bedroom and comfy one-bath will provide the roomy space you cannot easily obtain in a downtown location, and its well appointed kitchen will provide everything you need to cook a feats. Welcome to Bethesda!
The space
This wonderful downtown Bethesda flat was my refuge when I was living in the DC area before moving away for business. The apartment is so conveniently located that I feel such an awesome place would be an awful thing to waste. It is for this reason that I chose to open it up to you.
The mid-rise apartment building is within walking distance of a Harris Teeter (supermarket), a newly opened Trader Joe's (supermarket) around the corner, the Bethesda metro station, a CVS (pharmacy) just across the street, and there is ample public parking within one or two blocks, but the place comes with it's own parking spot (if you need one more parking space, we can provide one for you for $18/night).
As you'd expect, the apartment is almost brand new. I prefer a minimalist approach to interior decoration, providing a comfortable surrounding, yet, omitting excess. Fast Internet signal is strong in every corner of the flat, so you won't have any issues to stream Netflix or anything else if that's your thing.
Help yourself to use any cooking essentials, and please pay it forward by leaving non-perishables to other future guests. Kitchen appliances are all energy-efficient and new, and I am certain you will find everything you need to cook a feast. However, should you have any special requests, please let me know prior to your arrival, and I will try to do whatever I can to oblige.
The bedroom has a small walk-in closet and a comfortable and cozy queen-size bed. In addition, the living room has a sofa bed, if not all member of your party are intimately related. There is a small desk by the sliding window if working is in your cards while visiting town.

Our guests will have complete access to the apartment and the building's amenities. You're welcome to use the well-appointed kitchen. Help yourself to all silverware, plates and cooking utensils. Enjoy the small private balcony, or gather in the living room. In short, this is your place, please treat it with comparable love and care.

Q. I'm concerned about Covid-19, what measures are you taking to ensure my safety and those around me?
A. At the apartment level, I have implemented strict cleaning protocols beyond Airbnb and CDC recommendations. These include at least 24 hours in between guests; use of commercial grade cleaning products to disinfect; requirements from cleaning personnel to use masks, gloves, and shoe replacement upon entering; stricter enforcing of check-in and check-out times; and opening windows in between bookings for at least 5 hours to increase airflow. At the building level, cleaning crews are constantly disinfecting common areas, such as elevators, stairways and hallways; adhering to one-person/family at a time on elevators; and mask-wearing by all residents inside the building and in common areas. The hallways are at least 6 feet wide, and you'll be hard pressed to run into many residents during your stay.
Q. I see only one person/family is allowed to use the elevator at a time, but is there another way to access your apartment?
A. Yes, you are also welcome to use the stairway, which is very seldomly used. Mind you, the elevators are kept spotless.
Q. What if I need more information about the apartment?
A. A few days before your check in date, I will send you a reminder with information about where we can meet or how to self-check in. No worries, my superhost co-host will also be available after you arrive.
Q. Do you have internet?
A. Sure do, and it's fast. You may plug in both wirelessly or you can use an ethernet cable and connect from the router. You won't have any issues streaming video, uploading large files, or whatever you do online. Trust me, I dig this stuff.
Q. Can I self check in?
A. Yes you may upon request. However, since Airbnb is after all a person-to-person social network, It's nice to say hello (at a distance) once in a while :-). But you're also welcome to self-check in. Instructions will be provided after you book.
