Come stay in a real barn and experience rustic organic farm life with a cozy touch! Our 60 acre organic fruit farm is a wonderful place to relax, swim in the pool, play tennis or basketball. Your own fully equipped bathhouse is out the door, down 2 stairs and across the sidewalk about 25 steps. The studio-size barn has a cold water kitchenette with a full fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, hot water carafe and basic supplies. Pets are always welcome.

The space
It’s a little like glamping with very comfortable amenities, yet so close to nature. Enjoy the artisanal details creatively extracted from the original barn effects, like hay chutes turned into cubbies and eclectic barn doors used in the decor. Spend time outdoors exploring the 60 acre farm or lay by the pool in the summer, wade or float in the refreshing King’s River, depending on the water level and season, (right now the riverbed is dry due to the extreme drought situation in California) or play a game of tennis or half court basketball. Take a farm tour with the organic farmer himself (dependent on his availability). Enjoy our darling town of Kingsburg with its Swedish heritage and quaint shops and eateries.
There is a leather couch in the unit, so if you have a child that would be comfortable sleeping on the couch, feel free to message me about that option. And bring your furry guest with you, because pets are always welcome. (Maximum of 2 vaccinated, flea treated dogs. Puppies, who are not house trained, are not allowed.) Leashes are required; our fencing is adequate for cows and large farm animals only.
Being on an organic farm and sleeping in a real barn, you will experience a wide array of insects and nature, so if you prefer more of a upscale setting this might not be the unit for you.
Because we are a working farm and not a resort, we do not provide ice or TV or 24 hour hotel front desk service. ;-) Think “camping” with air conditioning/heat and solid walls. The natural surroundings and open spaces will refresh your senses.
We do look forward to hosting you for a relaxing time away to re-connect with nature and find rest for your soul.

We do have 2 other Airbnb units on the Farm that are less rustic but we do not host pets in them. Here are the links:

Hi! We are Rob and Sarah Jackson who live in Central California and own an organic farm on the banks of the King’s River, where we grow many varieties of fruit from peaches and plums to apples and mandarins. We also have a few angus cows, and a myriad of cats, an energetic cow-dog named Blu, and various river wildlife like coyotes, foxes, and raccoons that visit our farm on a regular basis. The birdlife along the river and in the gardens is quite diverse, from Great blue herons, white egrets, a myriad of ducks and water fowl along with tiny finches and glittering hummingbirds. This year was the first time our neck of the river became home to a bald eagle! You can visit our farm, too, and stay in our Jackson Family Farmstay, found on airbnb. We have been married for 33 years and have 5 wonderful kids, ranging in age from 19-32, and 2 beautiful granddaughters and 2 energetic grandsons, born to our daughter, an ER nurse, and her husband, a medical doctor, who live in a neighboring town. Our next daughter is a licensed hospital social worker living in the heart of LA with her husband and together they are very creative in music, science fiction authorship, and the arts. They love living in DTLA. Our oldest son finished working at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington, DC, with one of the undersecretaries of Agriculture as a legislative liaison for the Forest Service, facilitating communication between the USDA, the White House, and the Congress. He is now back in the valley as the Executive Director of our newest business venture, Yosemite Clean, an energy company extracting green hydrogen from the abundance of waste-wood (from the ag industry as a hard to dispose of bi-product and also from the forests in California, where it results in great forest fire risk). Our 3rd daughter graduated from college in Costa Mesa, got married to a wonderful man and is starting a business with a desire to see people empowered in the process. Her husband is the marketing manager for Yosemite Clean. Our 19 year old son is at Biola University studying Chemical Engineering and part of the Track team, after an amazing high school football career. He will finish up the chemical part of his engineering degree at USC. He was homeschooled thru 8th grade in the classical style (just like all of his siblings). He enjoys playing the piano and guitar as well. We have been a family that works hard together, loves to learn together, and finds joy in traveling anywhere together. Our house is full of books and people, coming and going from all parts of the globe. We enjoy cooking and eating together around our large dining room table. A model for our family is that we are "blessed to be a blessing."

During your stay

Interaction with our guests depends on our availability and their desires. Some guests like to have a very private retreat, while others appreciate more interaction, especially as they experience organic farm life. We try to be sensitive to the needs of our guests. Some seasons of the year find us very busy with harvest and not as available for guest interaction. Rob offers complimentary farm tours, when he is available, to guests who would like to learn more about the workings of the organic farm.
