Located on Haliburton Lake, it offers stunning, big lake views, several seating areas, private flat lawn for relaxing & playing games, gradual water entry with dock, firepit & more. Our NEW sauna & hot tub spa area at Red Fox Lakehouse is ready for you to unwind and relax, and we provide complimentary robes to enjoy during your stay.
We also offer a larger cottage, Red Pine Lakehouse, listed on Airbnb as well. Check it out if you need more room or if Red Fox Lakehouse is booked. The two cottages are on neighbouring properties making them ideal when needing more room.

Fully appointed with everything you need, Red Fox Lakehouse is ready for the most discerning guest! It boasts a great floor plan (1200 sq ft) of a mudroom entryway with heated floors, spacious living room complete with vaulted ceilings, fully appointed chef's kitchen with all the cooking tools & gadgets you need, cozy furniture, expansive windows with amazing views and a floor to ceiling wood burning stone fireplace. From morning sunrise to sunset, Red Fox Lakehouse is perfect for friends, couples & families alike.
The primary bedroom has a King bed, while the second and third bedrooms each offer Queen beds. There is one full bathroom (heated floors) with laundry, and one powder room (heated floors). All rooms have been decorated with beautiful furniture, decor, linens and comfy mattresses for your comfort! The Lakehouse is fully appointed with all of the appliances and amenities and cooking tools you might want or need. Board games, puzzles, books, outside games, Internet, cottage phone, DVD player and Smart TV are also included.
Included in your stay are ALL bed linens, towels, beach towels, robes, and some basic supplies to get guests started (i.e spices, sugar, olive oil, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). If you forgot something, the nearby marina also has some basic food/snacks/ice cream and an LCBO outlet and Eagle Lake Country Market (year-round) has all the groceries you need just ten minutes away.
Summer info - The Lakehouse itself is nestled on the waterfront on a flat grass lot perfect for games and relaxing. You can walk into the water as it has a very gradual decline. There is also a swim raft for jumping off! Water levels lower all summer as our lake feeds the Trent Severn Gull River Watershed System so it's important to check depth before jumping and diving. There are several different deck seating areas outside for you to enjoy and a fire pit is on the property as well (wood is included!). Also included to use is a propane BBQ which has a propane line to the cottage so you never run out of fuel while cooking. There is a stand up paddle board, peddle boat, canoe and two kayaks on the property. If you would like to tour the lake, you can rent a motor boat or a pontoon boat from the Marina which is less than five minutes away on the lake.
**lease note - Docks and boats are seasonal, and are typically out and accessible starting the May long weekend until September for guest safety.
Winter Info - Complimentary Adult Snowshoes & Poles to enjoy on nearby trails! *Only 12 minutes to Sir Sam's Ski & Ride where you can downhill ski & snowshoe. *20 minutes to Glebe Park to Nordic ski & snowshoe! Other fantastic X-country ski trails are scattered throughout the entire area. *10 minutes to Winterdance Dog sledding. NOTE: AWD and Winter tires are recommended from snow fall to thaw, typically November through to April.
Haliburton Lake does typically freeze over where people skate and ice-fish throughout the winter (obviously weather dependent). Road is plowed by the township and driveway is plowed as needed for your convenience.
Short-term rental licence: STR-24-00028 as per Dysart et al. 2% tourist tax goes to Dysart et al.
Guest access
Guests will enjoy the entire Lakehouse and property.
Check-in at 4pm.
Check-out is at 11am.
Check-in and out times can vary during the summer months.
