This is a beautiful family Victorian terrace townhouse with two double rooms and one single room. A one minute walk away from 'Victoria Park Village' it's on the edge of the amazing Victoria Park and has some good bus links to the city and West End as well as being twenty minutes bus ride from Bethnal Green tube station.
There is wi-fi, a tv and dvd sound system and well equipped kitchen. There is a lovely landscaped garden and parking tickets can be left if arranged prior to your visit, making on street parking outside the house very easy.
Questions for guests will be welcomed by the hosts daughter who is on-hand via mobile phone and email at all times during your stay.
The nearby Victoria Village has a wonderful assortment of very good cafes, delis and independent shops, as well as several take aways and restaurants and bars. The large Victoria Park is great to walk in, with ponds, two wonderful children's playgrounds and a great cafe on the main pond where you can also go boating.
There isn't a very close tube station, but Bethnal Green is less than five minutes in a cab or twenty minutes in a bus. There are some great bus routes though, to the city, canary wharf, the west end etc.
This is a family home with some very dear (though not valuable in monetary terms) possessions that have been collected over the years. We would love you to enjoy the house but to take care of the things in it! Please also be aware that it's a terraced house so no loud music or parties please.
wifi, tv, stereo, a library of great books, well equipped kitchen and gorgeous garden.
Interaction with guests
Shelley is on-hand throughout to answer any questions and is happy to keep in touch when needed.
Other things to note
This is a family home with some treasured collections of sentimental value which we trust you to enjoy but to take care of. The great thing we find about this house is the fact that you are in the heart of Hackney but it feels quiet, the garden is glorious and the views over the park at the back are really restful and special.
We hope guests will find the house both relaxing and interesting. If you're there with kids you may want to do a quick run around to make sure that anything breakable is put out of reach! But please do dip into the books, play the music and generally make yourself at home as much as possible as we want you to enjoy the house as a home from home. However, sadly
we do not accept bookings from guests bringing pets.
We are a family of four who moved from Hackney to Devon and now live in the glorious South Hams area where Dartmoor and the sea are within easy reach. Our favourite beaches are Wonwell, Start Point, and Hope Cove which is less than ten minutes away.
