Cozy, comfortable, rustic cottage with large deck for star-gazing, wood-burning stove, 4 acres of woods, a fire-pit, a brook and private path to 200 ft Housatonic River frontage. In lovely Litchfield Hills, near lake swimming, covered bridges, great restaurants, and near the Appalachian trail and other hiking trails, Mohawk Ski Area, Housatonic Meadows State Park, Audubon Center, Clarke Outdoors tubing/ kayaking and Ellsworth Farms fruit picking. The space
The bridge over the brook, the large deck, the extensive lawn, and the surrounding woods, provide a calm and beautiful spot in nature. The river is a five-minute walk from the cottage through the property woods along a marked path.

Central air conditioning recently added. There are two queen size beds, one double bunk, and two queen size pull-out couches. The Cottage is well stocked with extra bedding, towels and wash cloths, paper goods, cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, and basic condiments, games/puzzles, books. Hello! My name is Amy and I'm a psychiatric nurse and mom to three kids. The "river cottage" (as my daughter now calls it) has been rented by many and beloved for years by its previous owner. My husband and I are excited to continue the tradition and to join Airbnb as hosts. While we are at the cottage we love hiking the trails, sitting on the deck, star-gazing and roasting marshmallows in the fire-pit. We also love going to the local thrift stores, visiting breweries and berry picking at the nearby farm. We hope you have a great stay at our cottage. Welcome! During your stay The house and wooded property are all yours to enjoy. I will not be there though I am "on call" for any questions, as is the house manager who lives in the neighborhood.
