Tucked away in the farmlands of rural Aberdeenshire, The Beachcombers Hideout is a 2 bedroom static caravan with style!
With WiFi, central heating, TV and plenty to entertain kids - including a play park - The Beachcombers Hideout is a perfect modern caravan getaway for families. The park is situated near the A92 giving great access to the nearby towns of Stonehaven and Montrose, and less than an hour from both Aberdeen and Dundee.
A 15 minute walk takes you to the beautiful Tangleha beach.

The space
The Beachcombers Hideout is designed around a passion for nature and style. Far from the drab beige of a standard static, the living area features a modern botanical theme and plenty of hidden extras for little folks. A book nook and a hidden race track for toy cars, peekaboo mirrors and chalkboards - plenty to do on our famous rainy days!
If you feel like cooking, the kitchen area is well kitted out. There is an oven and hob, a microwave and plenty of cooking kit. If not, our welcome guide will point you in the direction of the best local eateries and takeaways!
The bathroom has a wonderful shower - perfect for warming up on chilly days.
The twin bedroom features an under-the-sea mural and an entire mountain range. Perfect for adventurers small or large!
The master bedroom is designed as a chill out sanctuary to rest your head at night.
Outside there is a small grass area - great to set up our table and chairs and take in some of the bonnie Scottish sun. Being on the East Coast, you get a fantastic view of both the sunrise and sunset.
The caravan park itself has laundry services available. The coin operated washing machine and dryer are situated in a building just up the hill from the Caravan. It also has a small but fun playpark with a slide, swings and a seesaw.

Where you’ll be

Saint Cyrus, Scotland, United Kingdom

Situated in South Aberdeenshire, minutes away from the borders of Angus, The Beachcombers Hideout presents you with the opportunity to see 2 beautiful counties.

Famed for its rolling farmland and stunning coast, Aberdeenshire has it all! Castles, whisky, forests, cliffs, beaches and possibly the 2 best ice cream shops in the world! A 14 mile drive north will take you to stunning Dunnottar Castle. Including a wealth of wonderful Scottish history, this stunning castle is the "most photographed uninhabited building" in Scotland. It was also the castle that Disney based Merida's Castle in Brave on.

Down the hill from Dunnottar lies the harbour town of Stonehaven. With beautiful stone beaches, an open air swimming pool and plenty of amazing eateries, it's fab for a day out!

The closest town to the park is Montrose. Steeped in rich history, its a brilliant town for a day out. The intertidal basin is home to many different species of birds and is bird sanctuary. Every year tens of thousands of geese stop in on their migratory path, which is truly awesome to witness. The seafront splash playpark is absolutely fantastic for young and older children. The sports centre has both a swimming pool and a gym. There is a big tesco, aldi and lidl, along side a Costa, farmfoods and home bargains. For evening entertainment, Sharkys and Rug Bug Bennys are 2 fantastic bar/restaurants. For a family meal, I can't recommend Roo's Leap enough!

45 minutes north takes you to the famous Granite city of Aberdeen. A fantastic city where you can shop til you drop, it is also home to Scotland most northerly theme park, Cadona's.

An hour to the south, on the banks of the silvery Tay, is the city of Dundee. The newly built V&A museum has attracted tourists from across the world with its stunning architecture. Dundee is also home to Olympus swimming pool which has flumes, a floating river and a wave pool!

If hiking is more your cup of tea, then your in luck! Both the Cairngorm National Park and the 5 Glen's of Angus begin within half an hours drive. For a shorter walk, I recommend the "blue door" walk at Edzell.
As for beaches, you will be minutes away (by car) from St Cyrus nature reserve with its beautiful golden sands and intriguing caves and rock formations. And just along the coast, you have Montrose beach - again with endless golden sands, perfect for running and sandcastle building.

And let's not forget the golf! Montrose boasts the 5th oldest Golf courses in the world, with golf being played there for over 400 years!
