The space

20 minutes north of town, 1 exit from navitat ropes course!
This sweet cozy cabin sits at the back of 3 acres in north Weaverville. The cabin sits at the bottom of a hill, behind a farmhouse built in 1917. This cabin was built in 1815, but moved to its current location 4 years ago and rebuilt. I reused every part of the original structure that I could. The square nails were saved to relay the living room floor. The ceilings in the bathroom and kitchen used to be the porch roof. The heart pine floor in the loft used to cover the log walls in the main room. The stone chimney was used for the current foundation.
A one bedroom loft upstairs and bathroom with a claw foot tub downstairs, this charming cabin offers relaxation and quiet. There is a simple built-in wooden ladder accessing the loft. The ladder is moderately steep. A large screened in porch gives you complete privacy off the back of the cabin. This cabin comes with a washer and dryer, internet, and cable.
The kitchen offers a full size propane stove/oven and a modern refrigerator/freezer, as well as an automatic coffee pot and all of the cookware you should need. The cabin is heated and cooled with a mini-split.

The cabin is just 2 miles from I26, on a country road. It is peaceful and beautiful.

We had a wonderful time over the holidays; we spent a week here with our dog Stanley and could not have asked for a better location - all the wonderful comments are true and I recommend to anyone thinking about staying here to do so. You can really get away from it all here. If I…

rob, i am so sorry to hear about this. it's true that being out in the country opens up the door to 'no leash law'. however, i'm so sorry that this happened to ya'll and your dog stanley. i lived out there many years and lived the flexibility/responsibility of have loose dogs. please let me know if there is anything i can do to help or ease the situation for ya'll.

Unique place! Back screened in porch is the best part. Caroline’s thoughtful touches made for a great experience. Unfortunately the shower was quite spotty (hot and cold in the midst of a 5 minute shower), and the bed comfortability was very average. Would recommend for beauty, h…

We had such a wonderful time at Caroline's cabin! It is such a relaxing spot, perfect for a little getaway. The cabin was clean and very much up-to-date while also retaining so much charm. Loved our time there!

What a wonderful cabin. Beautifully assembled, authentic with every detail thought out - from a screened porch with a daybed surrounded by greenery, to a claw tooth tub and Chesterfield. One of the favorite places I’ve stayed. A treasure.

Gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing. Quaint and cozy. I really didn’t want to leave! Nice helpful neighbors. A word of caution- if you have a bunch of stuff the hill to the house can be a hassle - I had knee surgery a couple months ago which made it hard. But not enough not to go bac…
