The Hub and Spoke consists of two upscale suites located in downtown Dresden.

Modern, inviting and central. Suited for just about anyone from corporate travelers to relaxation seekers. Enjoy everything the town has to offer, most within walking distance.

Sleeps 2 or 4 (pull out couch) - Pets are not allowed in this suite.

Bicycles are available at no extra cost from April 1st until November 1st.

The space
A little bit about the roots of our name and our space...

Alexander McVean, who was known as a personal friend of Sir John A. MacDonald, arrived in Dresden in 1870. He and his wife Sara had 5 sons and a daughter. In 1879, he took over sole ownership of the Hub and Spoke Factory. The factory became a success and the McVean’s family dominated Dresden’s business community for nearly a half-century. They provided the economic driver for the village, employing as many as 80 workers year-round.
In honour of their entrepreneurial spirit, we chose to name this special space after the start of their success.

During the design period of the space, we wanted to bring back some of the old days' charm and decided to expose a section of the beautiful and warm terracotta brick that is so prominent in our downtown. The 12ft ceilings give the space a lofty and open feel. The front sitting area is the ultimate reading spot with its view of the clock tower and its soothing ringing reminder to enjoy every hour.

The kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge/freezer, a microwave, toaster and kettle.

The living room and the bedroom have a large flat screen smart TV for your favourite movies or Netflix series.

The bathroom with its 4ft by 7ft walk in shower is what everyone needs after a hard day of working or playing.

A patio has now been added at the back of the building which can be accessed through the back door in the bedroom. The patio area is shared with the other suite and sits 4 to 6 people comfortably.

A gas BBQ is also at our guests disposition. Bicycles are available at no extra cost from April 1st until November 1st.

Being central allows our guests to visit Dresden's businesses and restaurants on foot. If you need your Tim Horton's coffee in the morning, a 10 minute walk will take you there. CIBC is located two doors down from the Hub and Spoke and the post office is just across the road.

From your window you will be able to enjoy the peaceful sight of the Four Corners fountain and the clock tower. If you travel with a dog, or simply enjoy a good walk, trails are located on both sides of town (map available in the suites).
Three pizza restaurants are within walking distance as well as Subway. If you like a great treat, the Union Block bakery is just a few steps away from you.

A map of trails is located in each suite. Two Bicycles are available to our guests from April 1st to November 1st.
