Although there are no kitchen facility options, there are numerous cafes, restaurants' and eateries are in close proximity.
By car, within 4km, guests will have an array of eateries and wineries to select from.
We provide pamphlets and are happy to offer suggestions on eateries local and within the region. Guests are welcome to bring home takeaways and enjoy at dining table or within one of the garden rooms.
A microwave is availiable to reheat food.

Come with your bikes and experience a lovely day out, biking from Grassmere to Rabbit Island and taking the Flat Bottom Floosie to Mapua, for lunch and some retail therapy!
The Trail is renowned for its ease and comfort of ride. Nelson, Tahunanui , Brightwater and Wakefield are all an easy ride from Grassmere.
The renowned Eyebright Country Store and Christmas Room and the iconic Grape Escape Cafe and the boutique outlets for the best of local fare at Old Factory Corner and are very close. (approx 1km )

Grassmere is nestled within one of the best locations for wineries, cafes, restrurants, local art and crafts, beaches, golf courses , and cycling trails. We are within 4km radius from a great choice cafes and wineries.

The Wooden Spoon Cafe on Queenstreet opens at 0730. Brilliant for Breakfast and also lunch. Lemongrass Restrurant on Queen Street for a local evening meal.
The iconic Grape Escape Cafe is just around the corneron McShane Road for brunch or lunch. It opens at 10am.
The TeMania Winery and Richmond Plains Winery are also on McShane Road.
Seifried Estate cellar door is on the road that leads you to our gorgeous Rabbit Island.
These are just a few of an array of eateries and wineries within a 4km radius. However within the wider environs the selection of cafe and wineries is astounding.

Pat was born here at Grassmere and I have lived here since we married 35 years ago. We know the district and region well. Pat and I have two grown sons and we are both active retirees. We garden, bike, and sight-see for pleasure.
