Teach Hughie Beag 'THB' - An idyllic recently built contemporary and spacious detached bungalow situated on the Currane peninsula on the rugged 'Wild Atlantic Way' coastline. Conveniently located between Mulranny and Achill Island with its amazing 180 degree panoramic sea views one side and Currane Hill the other, THB provides a memorable and relaxing escape with the comforts of home and more.
Local shore with pier and Sandy Banks beach are both close by and The Compass Bar just a 5 minute walk.

The space
There are 3 double bedrooms with the master having sea views, an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. A spacious bathroom with walk in shower serves the other bedrooms.
There is a large kitchen diner where you can relax and eat. It has a walk-in larder, built in electric oven and microwave with an induction hob. The dining table can seat up to 8 people plus a comfortable bench both providing the perfect vista to enjoy the picturesque landscape and sea.
A relaxing spacious lounge also enjoying sea views shares its dual opening wood burning stove with the kitchen diner for those cosy times in.
There is a separate utility with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The whole house benefits from underfloor heating and superfast fibre broadband (up to 500Mb/s). There are 2 smart TV's with extensive channel choice plus the added feature of Sonos speakers in both the kitchen/diner and lounge for quality music streaming.
Other kitchen amenities include a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.
For those sunny days, outdoor furniture is available.

For activities the renowned Great Western Greenway is close by offering extensive cycling and walking routes. This is accessible from both Mulranny and Achill. In addition Mulranny has its popular Mulranny 4 star Hotel with pool and spa facilities, its beautiful Clew Bay Strand and Mulranny Golf Course which in itself shares the route to a hidden beach; while Achill Island offers its Atlantic coast drive, blue flag beaches including Keel, Silver Strand, Golden Strand and Keem all offering a range of outdoor activities of Surfing, Kayaking, Kite surfing, Paddle boarding, Coasteering and Fishing. There is additionally the 'Atlantic Drive' (a route) which contours the coast around the island offering breathtaking views.
The island also of course offers an array of restaurants and drinking establishments.

Achill, County Mayo, Ireland

Teach Hughie Beag is situated in Bunanaioo, Currane, a quiet village that lies inbetween Mulranny and Achill Island, both of which are approx 13km either direction from the house...both coastal roads so always with a view of the sea.
A walk to the pier and shore is approx 5/8 minutes and the local pub The Compass Bar is 5 minutes door to door where you will always be warmly welcomed.
The Sandy Banks are a 5 minute drive away or a 15 minute walk where you can wile away your time wading into the shallow waters or walk around its coastline to its opposite side offering up a secluded extensive sandy and pebble beach looking out to Clew Bay and the Atlantic.
The front of the house faces Currane Hill which is an easy 5 minute walk away, here you can ramble up the hill and look back at the breathtaking views. The stream running down is perfect for topping up water bottles with the natural hill water.
All in all THB is an ideal location for this stunning rugged part of the West Coast of Ireland and come rain or shine the vistas are always breathtaking.
