The space

You have your own private entrance into the flat,up a single flight of stairs you have two rooms with an eaves like feel , one room has a double bed skylight the other a convertible comfy couch, its so quiet and lovely with views into the garden. a small dogs paradise, with a little dog flap downstairs, (small dogs are welcome) plus abundant bathroom, two wardrobes, ample storage, and spare bedding.

Wifi access , television , no cable, washer dryer , and use of small fridge and basic kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower. coffee and tea facilities, linens shampoos and body wash available

I work from home as a violin teacher and play chamber music so you can enjoy the lovely sounds of Brahms as well as the urgent efforts of the occasional first timer student! The fireplace is free to use in the shared living space downstairs. As I tend to use the other part of the house it will feel mostly like your space. On Tuesdays there is always a lively atmosphere as it is friends and family night for dinner. well behaved guests might be invited!

A great place to walk around, fruit trees and the smells of jasmine line the characterful streets porch swing and unicycles are commonplace, feels like a step back in time, yet very progressive, the first city to ban polystyrene for example! Very green with bookshops a plenty , vintage shops and street food stalls with every kind of cuisine you can imagine, the bustley Hawthorne street and Clinton street are a stones throw away and Laurelhurst park is great year round and in the summer boasts free concerts and films. A fabulous pottery studio is across the street where you can purchase wonderful treasures.

A stones throw from bus lines that take you into central Portland in no time, for $2.50 you have a reusable ticket that will take you everywhere for a couple of hours - the Hollywood district, Pearl district, Northwest portland, Alberta Arts, are all
great hot spots!

Response from Catherine:
Oh, Elide, I did just have my carpets professionally cleaned because of the guest just before you who had a dog. They stayed a week and the dog was not well trained. (Or maybe the guest was not well trained.) Anyway, I thought the problem was solved. Thanks for the heads-up. Catherine
