Welcome to the Kaloko Farm Studio -- where you will be completely surrounded by nature, gorgeous sunsets and the beauty of Hawaii!
This secluded and gated farm is situated at 1,700 ft elevation with an unobstructed 180 degree view of the Kona coastline and cool temperatures! The main house & studio are surrounded by a wide variety of tropical flowers and an infinity lawn. This newly remodeled studio is perfect for travelers: private entrance, garage parking, full bathroom & kitchenette.

The space
For this slice of paradise, we wanted to embrace an idea of simple living while finding solitude in native plants and fauna.

The Studio is a spacious 300 square foot studio with its' own private entrance and garage. It's the perfect mountain top hideaway with ocean view - The newly renovated bungalow can comfortably accommodate a single traveler, or two-people traveling together. It's a cozy retreat and includes all the amenities one might need during their stay.

This quaint vacation nook also features a stylish kitchenette with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Tucked away, is a small toaster oven, mini-fridge, coffee maker, electric hot plate, pots, pans, basic seasonings, complimentary coffee and condiments.

Inside the studio you’ll find a comfortable memory foamed queen size bed, tiled hardwood floors and an abundance of windows which opens up to green space and clear skies. The studio also features a spacious vanity sink and shower area. In addition, there's a ceiling fan with plenty of windows for fresh air. We also have a hairdryer and all the basic personal effects in case you forgot something. You'll also have access to the washer/dryer in the laundry area.

The bountiful farm also has over 100 different varieties of fruit trees and when available, our guests will also have access to fresh tropical fruit (depending on whats in season).

Collect and enjoy fresh eggs straight from our chicken coop everyday, with our wooden egg crate located in the Ohana. Help yourself!

If you're feeling adventurous, we have complimentary snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, bamboo mats, and beach towels. We are just a short 15 minute drive to beautiful Kua Bay, the famous Magic Sands beach, Downtown Kona and just 10 minutes from the airport and Costco!

Marley is our sweet loving black lab. He is a big dog but very gentle and mellow. He will not jump up on you or lick you. But he will walk out to greet you when you arrive. He knows nothing but love!

**Nightly rate includes tax**
**We follow all Hawaiian Rules & Regulations pertaining to Transient Accommodations (State Required Information) TA#-037281894401 **

Guest access
Our guests will have access to the grass lawn overlooking the ocean and daily sunsets. Guests are welcome to use the washer/dryer in the laundry room area. If you need a printer, please let us know and we can print last minute boarding passes, maps, etc. with 24 hour advanced notice.

We have over 100 tropical fruit trees planted and there is usually some fresh fruit available to share with our guests. Also we have a small farm and have fresh eggs available to our guests. Grab the little brown egg crate provided for you in the Studio. The chicken coop is located in the backyard, behind the carport. You will see a small brown door that opens to the coop. Peek in to see if they laid any eggs for you :-)

Other things to note
We have put a lot of work into this studio and into our home! The studio is beautiful and we hope you will have a chance to experience it!

Heads up! -- Inspired by feedback from our friendly guests. (Thanks!)

-airport code for Kailua-Kona is KOA (not Hilo airport)

- Our water heaters are powered by solar during the day. It heats up the water and fills the hot water tanks in the garage. It doesn't happen all the time, but from time to time, the pump will go off automatically and you'll hear the water pumping for a few seconds. It pumps as long as it needs to refill the tanks. When you hear the noise, think: "Ahhhh, hot water".

- We live in Hawaii, so naturally we have beautiful sunsets, birds, beaches, and bugs. If there's a BUG'S LIFE Party happening, please let us know and we'll clean up after their mess and remove them.

- re: WIFI - We have a DISH, so when it's cloudy or raining, the speed will be affected.

-We have over 100 tropical fruit trees planted and there is usually some fresh fruit available to share with our guests.
With all the beautiful landscape and trees that surround our property, comes all the maintenance to make it look its absolute best for you. Please note, we do have workers that are on the property caring for the plants and animals on a daily. They do there best to keep the noise level to a minimum.

You will love this neighborhood!

The top two reasons are privacy and the cool temperatures. Our subdivision is divided up into 3 acre lots, which means the next neighbor's house is about 200 yards away.

The Kaloko area is one of Kona's most desirable places to live and visit. We are 15 minutes from downtown Kona and shops, 10 minutes from the airport, 7 minutes to Costco, and within 15 minutes to several beautiful beaches.

This is the most ideal location when staying in the Kona area.

Aloha! Hi my friends! I've been living in Hawaii for the past 7 years, and been on the Big Island since 2014. I absolutely love it here and consider Kona my home. I was fortunate enough to find this wonderful property on 3-acres a few years ago and happy to share it with friends and new guests! A little about myself: I'm a small business owner and work in the solar industry on the Big Island. We help homeowners setup their solar operation and teach people about the benefits of solar. Currently, the house is completely sustained by the sun and working on new ways to be efficient. My hobbies include diving, spearfishing, the gym and hunting. The goal is to live a simple and healthy lifestyle. I love clean air and clean water. What more can I ask for? Im and avid tropical fruit tree collector and i'm growing quite a variety of fruit trees: (currently i've planted over 200 trees with 150 different varieties of fruits!) We have mangoes, avocados, passion fruit, dragon fruit, papayas, bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, guava, and many more. As a host, I'm accessible for your needs and requests. I'd love to accommodate first time visitors to Hawaii island, and returning guests. Welcome to the Big Island!
