The space
🌅 The Cottage

This spacious, family-friendly cottage features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation.

We do ask our guests to bring their bedding (sheets, pillow cases, duvets/blankets) along with them as well as any towels needed for their stay.

If you are unable to bring these items along with you, please let us know and we can work with you, as we understand it is not always an option.

Primary Bedroom: King bed + walk-in closet

Bedroom 2: Two cozy single beds – great for kids or solo guests

Bedroom 3: Queen bed with a peaceful atmosphere

The open-concept living area boasts vaulted ceilings, expansive windows, and panoramic views of the lake and star-filled skies. Whether you’re curled up on the couch or enjoying a meal at the dining table, you'll always feel connected to nature.

Step outside onto the massive 1,100 sq ft deck, offering:

Multiple seating and dining spaces

Sunny and shaded areas

A covered BBQ setup for grilling rain or shine

A cozy fire pit for nightly stargazing

Private access to 250 ft of rocky shoreline (water shoes recommended!)

Bring your own kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards to explore the crystal-clear waters. Motorized boats can be launched at the nearby Tobermory Municipal Dock.

Other things to note
We do ask guests to leave our space as they found it. The cottage is in a natural area, and we do ask that garbage is no left outside.

On check out we ask guests to place all garbage in the outdoor garbage container.

Neighbourhood highlights

A Cool Change is directly located on 3 acres of Lake Huron Shore line. It is a quiet family cottage on a quiet, dead-end gravel road with lots of opportunity for walks and hikes. The Lake is crystal clear and varies between flat water or energetic waves. A Cool Change is only 9 minutes from beautiful Tobermory which has Blue Heron Boat Tours for trips to ship wrecks and Flower Pot Island, Shops, Dive Boats, Restaurants, a gas station, hardware store, grocery store, the Visitor Centre, and only a few minutes from Cypress Lake National Park and the famous "Grotto."

Guests are asked to purchase firewood from local vendors as to not bring invasive species to the Peninsula. Please do not scavenge for wood on our property.

Sand beaches are located at Singing Sands, Dunks Bay or Lions Head.

We have neighbours who are also enjoying their property so please respect quiet times of 10 p.m.-7 a.m. and ensure that all campfires are extinguished after use and not left unattended. Fireworks are not permitted under any circumstances nor are parties or events. Please check the Northern Bruce Peninsula Website re: any potential fire bans.
