The space

Lost City, West Virginia, United States

Moondance is close to The George Washington National Forest and The Lost River State Park, locally. Trout Pond Recreational Area, with a beach and lake for swimming is close by at the bottom of the mountain. The small town of Wardensville offers antique shops, a bookstore, and The Lost River Trading Post & Grasshopper Gallery. There is a working farm in Wardensville that offers outdoor entertainment some nights in the summer as well as a bakery and local produce.

Moondance is one of several cabins located on Tom's Knob Approach which runs along the crest of the ridge providing views of the valley on both sides as well as other mountain peaks. There is a gravel road that runs the entire length of the ridge that is a good walk during the day with pretty views.

My husband, Hal, and I have found our properties to be our second career after mechanical engineering and psychotherapy began to take second place in our lives. We enjoy a hands-on process, particularly with favorite, special gems like Moondance. The quest for creative thought, relaxation, adventure, and a brief interruption to our daily lives provides perspective . Relaxing on the deck at night after a cookout is encouraging for thought while the next day is full of energetic opportunity with mountain activity or just pure relaxation and a chance to get away from it all.
