Location

Bowral, New South Wales, Australia

The Park Road Cafe Bowral, just opposite the High School, is a real country-style eatery with great home-cooked food. Leisurely 10 minute walk for brunch or lunch. If you just want to do a good one hour walk, head toward East Bowral along the cycle path outside 'Minyon' and you will get to see some lovely homes and gardens along the way as well as lots of open space. Doing the 15 minute Cherry Tree Walk into town is a must, if only to say hello to all the ducks you will see along the way. It is glorious. Feel free to feed the ducks some bread if they wander into the front garden as well as on the reserve opposite 'Minyon'. You will see cockatoos and magpies drinking from the bird baths ... and kookaburras laughing from high up a tree. Take the opportunity to stop and talk to dog walkers ... people are happy and friendly here ... the surrounding green space makes them so !
