Spacious Beach House in a beautiful rustic and largely unknown shore town known as "Fortescue" on the Bay in Southern New Jersey. You will be mesmerized by brilliant sunsets on the bay. 2 Bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The first floor includes an enclosed porch, living room, large dining room and compact kitchen. House is fully furnished and includes a drinking water dispenser. Fortescue is DIFFERENT. It is isolated and undeveloped. Do not book Fortescue for "Jersey Shore" type social fun.

The space
Fortescue is nothing like a typical Jersey Shore town. It is isolated and rustic. Visitors will be well advised to bring in as much food and drink as they plan on consuming. There are good restaurants on the "island" and more nearby but no alcohol sales within 20 miles and the supermarkets are about 15 miles distant. There is a vast free but unguarded beach and a huge public marina. Fortescue is very quiet there are no bars or parties but the people are very friendly. This house which is across the street from the waterfront, with an unimpeded water view includes full comcast/amazon television and wi-fi service.

Isolated and undeveloped. Fortescue is within a protected Wetlands Natural Area. The Grasslands and the beaches are beautiful and there are a plethora of Bald Eagles and Osprey to be spotted. The town however is very low and surrounded by water. If you are especially sensitive to humidity do not select Fortescue as your destination. This is a town in transition. There are both humble mobile homes and superlative new beach houses in close proximity. Everyone is friendly and it is expected to wave and greet neighbors. If you are wondering about things to do look up website for "Bonanza II" "New Jersey Motor Sports Park" "Cape May/Lewes Ferry" and trip advisior - Fortescue.

During your stay

I will respond to concerns about any and all issues. I may not be able to come immediately because I work 75 miles from the property. The town is very friendly and safe but rather undeveloped. You will probably need to use the house wi-fi to make phone calls from Fortescue. If you find you are not comfortable for any reason please feel free to make another arrangement. I do not want anyone to have to stay in Fortescue who is not totally happy with the house and the town. I will make any necessary monetary adjustment. The electric device in the rear yard is a pump for the fully legal and professionally maintained septic system.
