Easy access throughout. Ground level entrance into the spacious dining area and small double sofa bed. Through to the bathroom (with shower and bath) the large bedroom with casual seating, and on to the pretty walled garden and barbecuing area.

The space
Clean, bright and full of character, The Hideaway is the perfect Dorset retreat. With an off-the-floor comfy small double sofabed in the front room, through to a sumptuous double bed and small sofa in the bedroom, The Hideaway offers excellent quality comfort and value for money. Duvet and pillow protectors are replaced along with covers and cases at every changeover for added hygiene. Having been a hair salon and cafe in a past life, 195 High Street has quirky additions like fanlights and a hoarding. The walled garden is a favourite spot to chill out in the evenings, perhaps popping a steak on the bbq. Laundry facilities are available in the ensuite shed(!) - fully safety checked - there's a washer and a dryer for you to keep the sand at bay.

Where you’ll be

Dorset, England, United Kingdom

Based in the heart of Swanage, the quintessential Victorian seaside town. You have easy access to cafes, shops, pubs, and The Mowlem theatre & cinema, as well as the sheltered, sandy, gently-shelving beach. Step outside and hear the softly tolling church bells and the toot of Swanage Steam Railway trains which can transport you to the hauntingly beautiful Corfe Castle. Swanage is bordered by rolling hillsides with Old Harry Rocks on the northern shores and the Dorset coastal paths stretching right round the bay to Durlston Country Park, well worth a visit, down to Anvil Point Lighthouse. The cliffs of the Isle of Wight can be seen across the sea and reached by ferry from nearby Poole. As an old quarry town, Swanage's stunning architecture surrounds you. Churches abound and interesting views present themselves at every turn.
