Between meadows and fields, nestled in the Lippic hills, lies our small oasis in absolute seclusion.
If you are looking for peace, seclusion, nature and plenty of space, you will find this right here.
The house is located on a large plot with orchard, ornamental garden, climbing trees and many meadows. Right outside the front door is Burgensteig, one of many hiking trails in the region. Perfect starting point for excursions into the Teutoburger Wald and the Weser Bergland.

The space
Our country house, with 160 sqm on two floors, can host up to 10 people. It once served as an accommodation for servants and maids, an old farm not far away. With a lot of love and dedication, a small paradise was created here with an approx. 7000 sqm garden. It also offers a fully equipped kitchen with dining room and a cozy living room with wood burning stove, equipped with numerous toys and children's books and a large desk. In the upper area, there is another workplace, the bedrooms and a second fully equipped bathroom with bathtub. An old piano invites you to play music. Wi-Fi, TV, radio can also be used. The cat Semix, who likes to be stroked and fed and lives in a small draw belonging to the house, belongs to the inventory. In the beautiful garden, you can relax in the summer under numerous fruit trees. Terrace, garden furniture, a fire pit, barbecue, swings, slide,
A sandbox and a trampoline can also be used. A large orchard has recently been created on the property, which our guests can enjoy during the flowering period. The house is therefore great for holidays with children, families and friends, but also for smaller workgroups, or artists who seek concentration in nature.

Where you’ll be

Barntrup, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

The nearest supermarket is in the village of Barntrup about 3 kilometers away and
has a very wide and good range of organic products. However, organic
foods can also be found on one of the many farm shops in the region directly from the
Two kilometers from Struchtrup, there is one of many
small, charming bathing establishments. Hiking enthusiasts can walk along Burgensteig from the doorstep,
one of many hiking trails in the region, which lead to castles and
numerous castles. About 23 kilometers from Struchtrup is the small town
of Detmold on the Teutoburg Forest. A variety of cultural events can be visited here.
Especially beautiful is the open-air museum, an extensive area, surrounded
of magnificent nature and historical buildings from 500 years of contemporary history. With six state-approved spas, a health-climate spa, four Kneipp spas, and ten air spas and four recreational resorts, the region is considered the "healing garden of Germany". Of course, the numerous cycling and hiking offers of the low mountain landscape, which at the same time often provide insight into the history of the Teutoburg Forest, also have a health-promoting effect. Many historic places in the region can be explored on foot or by bike. For example, the Hermann's Memorial near Detmold, which commemorates the battle of the Cherusker leader Arminius, or the external stones near Horn-Bad Meinberg, thirteen sandstone rocks that rise up to 40 meters into the sky. Hermannsweg or Eggeweg pass here.
For horse lovers there are also countless riding stables nearby…
