Saturday changeover & minimum week reservations from 29 May to 4 Sep. New for 2021. The Beeches is a new and impeccably finished colonial style large annex with a wood-burner, hot-tub & deck. It is in an idyllic countryside location for a peaceful get-away yet conveniently located with easy access to beaches, countryside walks, national trust properties and great places to eat and drink (close to the famous Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek). A perfect place to escape, relax and enjoy Cornwall!

The space
The Beeches is a completely self contained annex to the owners main property. It was completed in late 2020 and has been finished to an incredibly high standard. Downstairs is a large open plan area incorporating oak flooring (with underfloor heating), wood-burning stove (complimentary logs are provided on arrival), a luxuriously fitted kitchen (with dishwasher and washer/tumble drier) and separate dining area. Furniture has been sourced from Ercol, known for their quality and comfort. The property is equipped with a sony TV (Netflix and internet TV capable - although you will need your own Netflix account), high speed wi-fi and a blue-tooth music system.

Upstairs are two bedrooms both with luxury en-suite bathrooms (one en-suite has a stand-alone bath for that essential soak). One bedroom has two single beds which can be securely joined together to make a king (please let us know how you wish this to be configured when you make your reservation). We only use high quality cotton bedding. Both bedrooms enjoy beautiful views over Carclew Estate and at the right time of year, you will see the ruins of Carclew House (once one of Cornwall's great houses owned by the Bonython and then the Lemon families, but destroyed by fire in 1934).

Outside, you can dine on the deck and enjoy the views over the fields and woodland of Carclew Estate. A four person hot tub will be ready for you to unwind at the end of your busy day and a gas BBQ is available for al-fresco dining. There are often horses in the field and the area is abundant with wildlife. Pheasants regularly roam through the garden and the keen eye may also spot the odd fox, badger, rabbit and any number of different species of bird.

Mylor Churchtown, England, United Kingdom

The Beeches is located in Mylor which is situated amongst the tree lined creeks of the Fal. This friendly village of Mylor Bridge is 1.5 miles away and has a thriving community with great facilities including an extremely well stocked general store, butcher, fishmonger, newsagent/post office and a traditional village pub. The famous 13th century Pandora Inn located on the waterside at Restronguet Passage (1.5 miles) is renowned for the quality of its food and value for money! Mylor Yacht Harbour is also located nearby (2.5 miles) and this bustling marina has a wonderful café serving fresh food (great breakfasts!) and ‘Castaways’ a Seafood restaurant and Tapas bar. Visitors have plenty of chance to get on the water here with self-drive boat hire to gently chug up the river, yacht charter and sailing school as well as a watersports centre providing canoe and stand-up paddle board hire. The area has some stunning coastal walks to take in the spectacular and relaxing scenery, wildlife and sailing activities in Falmouth Bay. Mylor is well located to explore all of Cornwall, in close proximity to the harbour town of Falmouth, the commercial city of Truro and beaches in the local area and on the North Coast.

During your stay
The Beeches is a large and fully self-contained Annex to the hosts family home. Deborah or Martin will generally be available to help and advise as much or as little as you need. Access is via a key safe so you don’t need to worry about late arrivals or early departures. An information pack is provided giving you tips and ideas on where to source the very best and freshest local fish, meat, vegetables, artisan bread and locally grown provisions. Provenance is important to us and we want you to have access to and enjoy the very best that Cornwall’s artisans have to offer. We will provide a welcome pack for you to enjoy on arrival but why not take advantage of our pre-order service? We will provide you with links for relevant web-sites and you then have the option to pre-order (these are contained within our guide book). We can collect these for you and have them available for your arrival so that you can make the most of your stay (there is no charge for this service). If there are items that aren’t on the websites, just ask and we will do our best to source these for you.
