Hillside is a newly built limestone self contained holiday let, on the edge of a pretty Derbyshire village. Hillside overlooks the village of Bonsall (near Matlock) offering beautiful views from the windows and patio of the village and surrounding countryside. Bonsall offers 2 excellent pubs, cafe and village shop. There are numerous stunning walks from the doorstep and the renowned Limestone Way passes through the village. Chatsworth, Bakewell and the Monsal trail are all a short drive away.

Where you’ll be

Bonsall, England, United Kingdom

There are 2 friendly pubs in the village both serving food. The Barley Mow has its own brewery and hosts regular live music nights, as well as other popular events. There is also a cafe and a small shop with a deli. There a numerous beautiful walks from the door, including a number of historical routes, which give you an insight into the interesting history of this former lead mining village. There is also good road and mountain biking in the area and we would be happy to store bikes in our garage. We would also be happy to suggest local walks and cycle rides which take in some stunning scenery. The Peak District attractions of The Heights of Abraham, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Bakewell are all short drives away. The nearby village of Cromford has renowned historical significance for its part in the industrial revolution.
