The SleepyHut is available at SleepyHollows Campsite. Its a simple wooden structure, with a door, windows, padded floor and a deck. Its basically a wooden tent that is already set up for you on arrival. And it looks pretty cool too!!

The space

Inside the Hut is a small hard surface area (for shoes, bags etc) and a large padded floor. This is the sleeping area. It is ideal for 2 adults sharing. 3 adults can use this space but please only bring two friends that you would gladly share a 3 person tent with :D Note there is an extra charge of €10 for the third person

The best way to prepare for a few nights in the Sleepyhut, is to treat it like a proper camping trip. You will still need to bring sleeping mats, blankets or sleeping bags, towels, cooking equipment etc. But you can leave your tent behind!!

There are 2 toilets and 2 showers available on site, approx 50m walk from the Hut

Guest access

The Hut is situated on the Sleepyhollows campsite, so in the Summer months you can expect to have a few tents nearby. But don't worry too much....The campsite prides itself on being a quiet place to get away from it all. It is a very small, adult only campsite, with a maximum of approx 20 / 25 guests per night at the busiest time of year

Interaction with guests

Like most campsites, the only real interaction will be upon arrival. You will need to check in like all other guests.

Other things to note

Please remember to treat this like a camping trip. You will still need to bring sleeping mats, blankets or sleeping bags, towels, cooking equipment etc.

Thanks for a great trip away. We stayed in the sleepyhut in sleepy hallows campsite. Quiet area with beautiful views. Leo's tavern serves great food and live music on Saturday nights!!! Only bit of advice I can offer is having a microwave in kitchen area. :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Sleepy Hut- highly recommend it!!! On arrival we were shown the facilities- I was very impressed how clean and tidy not only our accommodation was but also the bathroom/showering and kitchen facilities. The camp was lovely and quiet (being adult only). Beautiful secluded location to kick back and relax. Still plenty of fun sightseeing activities to do in the local vicinity and thoroughly enjoyed visiting Leo's bar which was only a couple of minutes walk up the road. We were made to feel very welcome- would definitely make a return visit!

We were greeted with a warm welcome on arrival at the campsite. The SleepyHut is as promised in the advert and the facilities within the campsite were clean and functional. The SleepyHut is within walking distance of Leo's Tavern, a big plus point for those in search of food, drink and entertainment whilst being set within the calm and peace of the small, family-run campsite. Whilst it's worth noting that there's no electricity in the hut itself, there is access to sockets for phones/laptops in the little kitchen open to campers on the site (including a useful european socket outlet). There's lots of things to see and do in the area around Crolly - really beautiful beaches, hiking trails in the mountains etc.

The SleepyHut was exactly as described and as it seemed in the pictures - the setting is lovely with other tents and campervans around the garden. Very well built structure and a nice experience overall.

Lovely little hut to stay in. We slept here on a hillwalking holiday and found it to be great place to stay the night. Kitchen and toilet facilities were great and just as stated. Hosts were very welcoming and kindly showed us around when we arrived.

Hi there

I designed and built the SleepyHut back in 2011. Having grown up working at a campsite, it had been an idea of mine for a while.
