Where you’ll be

Kearney, Ontario, Canada

Welcome to Kearney, the ‘biggest little town’ in Ontario!

Located in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands, we are close to Algonquin Provincial Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park and central to many beautiful walking/ATV/Cycle/cross-country skiing and Sledding trails (many of which can be accessed via Rain Lake Road in town).

For trail maps, park passes and more information, please visit the tourist information and community centre, situated at the stop sign (May-Oct)

Our property is situated across from part of the Magnetawan river system (great for fishing!) which flows 175 km from its source of Magnetawan Lake inside Algonquin Provincial Park, to empty into Georgian Bay. We are just 5 minutes from the public dock overlooking Mirror Bay - opposite the LCBO

There is a small public beach in town – over the bridge and to the left

There are two seasonal outdoor outfitters in town (May-Oct) where you can rent canoes and kayaks, book tours and much more!

Algonquin Base Camp Adventure Outfitters and Supply – go to stop sign and turn right

Canoe Algonquin – go through stop sign and it is a 5 minute walk on the left

Nostalgia is a fabulous little antique/gift store – left at the LCBO and it is on the left

Huntsville is the closest ‘big’ town – definitely worth a visit for its historic main street, where you will find lots of unique stores and restaurants

For fun things to do locally throughout the year please visit this website: Almaguin Highlands - The Great Canadian Wilderness

We hope you take the chance to get out and explore as much of this beautiful region as you can during your stay…we are so close to all that nature has to offer and each season holds its own unique beauty

Let your outdoor adventure begin!
