Come enjoy our river sanctuary! Cozy "rustic-luxury" retreat on the edge of pristine Mckenzie River, where you hear the river from the entire cabin. You can walk to restaurants and seasonal entertainment in Mckenzie Bridge, as well as local white water rafting and biking adventure posts. It is located on the Upper McKenzie River, with spectacular views in all directions, and a screened in porch facing the river. A perfect getaway for couples and families to get away from it all!

The space
Your stay includes full use of cabin, including fully equipped kitchen with cooking staples, coffee and tea, herbs for cooking. Indoor river stone (gas) fireplace. Lots of great books (many by Pacific NW authors) to peruse, along with vintage and modern games, CDs and smart TV. Access to large common area meadow and gardens.

Inside is absolute perfection -- with a generously equipped and wonderfully decorated quintessential cabin experience!

Every square inch of this beauty is covered in gorgeous wood -- the floors are Douglas Fir and the walls are Knotty Pine. Huge beams accentuate the voluminous great room with River-Rock gas fireplace.

Enjoy morning sun and afternoon shade from your river-facing screened-in porch.

The King size bed in the master bedroom has views of the river and better yet -- the sounds -- open up the windows at night and take it all in.

The upstairs private bedroom offers a real log frame queen sized bed and another big view and listening opportunity.

This cabin sleeps 4 adults in two beds and offers a camping pad air-mattress for a fifth (best for a child).

The full bath downstairs offers a tub and shower combination, while the upstairs full bathroom offers a large shower.

The kitchen has just about everything except for the food. The appliances are full sized and spotless. The owners have provided cooking staples, coffee and tea, herbs and spices and you'll find everything you need to prepare full meals -- even a dishwasher to help clean-up.

There are many choices of both vintage and modern games for the whole family, libraries of great books to enjoy (many written by Pacific Northwest authors, high-speed private Wi-Fi and a large "smart" TV with cable -- but the real experience is outside.

The Log Cabin Inn community offers you nearly 7 acres of common area covered in Old Growth Trees and beautifully manicured flower gardens. 900 feet of river shoreline offers you many fishing opportunities.

We are located one mile west of the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail base, as well as many other outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, bicycling, boating, fishing, hot springs, golf, skiing and more. There is a large guest information book in the cabin with the details, including our favorites.

This cabin is on the edge of the Willamette National Forest with its Lava flows, natural hot-springs, waterfalls and the famous Mckenzie River Trail.

Drive or bike the "Old Pass" Hwy 242 (open in the summer and fall) and visit Proxy Falls and Scott Lake on the way to the summit's Lava Rock Observatory where you can view all of Oregon's Mid-Cascade Range -- all within 20 to 30 minutes of the cabin.

The Pacific Crest Trail crosses over Hwy 126 just about 30 minutes east of the cabin.

Terwilliger Hot-Springs (Cougar Hot Springs) is just 15 minutes away.

Tokatee Golf Course is with 3 miles and so are 3 wonderful restaurants.

Schedule a white-water rafting trip or a drift boat fishing guide before you arrive and you can get the real tour of this river paradise.
