Comfortably accommodating 5, Varley is the perfect bolt-hole for a relaxing, seaside getaway. Situated within its own grounds, this Fishermans cottage enjoys unobstructed views over open countryside and is set just 150 yards from the National Trusts Port Quin Cove. Fully equipped for family getaways, the property enjoys a log burning stove for cozy evenings and a countryside-facing terrace and gardens for al fresco dining in the sunshine.

The space
Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty , Varley is conveniently positioned within a 150 yards of the sea and minutes drive from the popular coastal haunts of Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay.

Laid out over two floors, the accommodation consists of a kitchen/ dining room including dishwasher, sitting room with beamed ceiling and log burning fire, utility with washer/ dryer and WC. Tastefully decorated, this 3 bedroom cottage is the ideal family holiday home and overlooks the valley above Port Quin.

Ground floor: The doorway leads into the kitchen/dining room with a dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The space is sociable and creates the ideal environment for cooking up summer BBQ's. To the right hand side of the property is a utility room with separate access and WC. To the left hand side is the sitting room with original beamed ceiling, wood burning stove and double aspect windows.

First Floor: The bedrooms are accessed via the stairs in the sitting room. The master bedroom is spacious and enjoys a double bedroom and countryside views. There is a further double bedroom and another single bedroom. The family bathroom comprises a separate bath and shower.

Exterior: terrace for al fresco dining at the front of the property with exterior furniture and BBQ facilities. The garden area is sheltered and overlooks open countryside with direct access on to the southwest coastal path. There is private parking for 2 vehicle at the property. Please note the inland route for the coastal path from Port Quin to Port Isaac runs past the cottage.

Services: The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. There is a separate washing machine and tumble dryer within the utility/boot room . There is an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. The property has electric heating in the whole cottage. Logs are available by request on-site. The first basket is free of charge during the winter months of September through to March. 1 well-behaved dog may stay at Varley although please remember that you cannot leave a dog unattended in the property alone. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. Please note there is no WiFi or phone reception at the property at present.

Roscarrock Farm, where Varley is nestled on the edge of, has been in our family for 4 generations. Stretching along 3.5 miles of rugged coastline, guests can walk the farm tracks which lead to the south west coastal path taking you to the renowned fishing village of Port Isaac to the north - the ideal spot for a touch of shopping, gastronomic delights at the likes of Nathan Outlaws eateries, a wild swim or organised coasteering trips. For anybody after a foodie break, jump on the ferry in Rock to Padstow where you will find Paul Ainsworth's Number 6 and Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant
