The perfect country retreat! Relax, recharge and reconnect with nature in a spacious, peaceful guest suite enjoying tranquil views and cottage feel. You might catch a misty sunrise, or star gaze on a clear night right from the comfort of your private view. Hike a creekside trail, listen to the birdsong, or cozy up to the gas fireplace. Sample handmade soaps from our farm. Explore the quaint Town of St.Marys or nearby Stratford.

The space
Retreat in the newly renovated private lodgings located in a 1930's Prairie-style granary known locally as the Red Mill. The guest suite is both historic and modern and includes a large fully stocked kitchen, spacious living room, fireplace and air-conditioning. Enjoy the private outdoor deck with comfy furniture, shade umbrella, bbq and serene views. There are 45 acres here covered in woodland, creeks, ravines, meadows, and farm fields with some trails. At Red Mill farm, we have adopted an ecologically restorative relationship with the land, with the reward of expanding natural diversity and a healing atmosphere for our guests. There is also newly renovated chiropractic clinic located in the Red Mill Building separate from the guest suite.

Guest access
There is a parking space allocated for guests right next to the entrance. Guests have their own private sidewalk and entrance with a keypad. We do our best to meet you but if we're not available, guests have easy access and a visitors manual.
Guests exclusively have access to the back deck and bbq.

Other things to note
We are on well water which is drinkable and we love it. However, if you prefer otherwise, perhaps bring bottled water.
While we have two friendly cats, we have a NO pet rule within the guest suite so please do not ask to bring your pets. This is a hard and fast rule. Our cats may visit you outdoors but please don't let them into the guest suite.
We do live in the country so depending on the season, one may expect flys or things such as the smells of neighbours farming. It is part of country living and we've not experienced any issues with guests so far.
There is also a chiropractic clinic in another part of the Red Mill building. The parking is separate as is the entrance. If there is overlap during your visit, you may be aware of some patients coming and going from the property but it doesn't interfere with your privacy.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are located 5 minutes from picturesque St.Marys; 20 minutes from Stratford Festival; 30 minutes from London; and 40 minutes from the beaches of Lake Huron and Grand Bend. While we have lovely trails on the property, a relaxing 10 minute walk down an abandoned road will take you to the magical fork of the Avon and Thames Rivers. For those interested in a longer hike, we are a 10 minute drive from Wildwood Conservation Area with its hiking and biking trails.
