Description

The space

Our 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home comes with direct sight to the river and very close to walking trails with mature trees. The farmhouse has been redone over with a feature bathroom is something to see, along full kitchen, open living room and patio.

Fully renovated on the inside, this home provides a beautiful and peaceful space for families, couples of all ages, and groups of friends. There is a finished patio outside perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or relaxing while watching the stars at night. Why not enjoy the evening with a great steak and brisket, that you can make using our complimentary Weber BBQ and Bullet smoker.

During the spring and summers, you can shop at the Charlottetown Farmers' market and make yourself a gourmet meal in our large open-concept fully equipped kitchen, using fresh herbs that are growing around the property. There is fresh summer and lemon thyme, apple and spearmint, Italian and hot oregano, rosemary, chives, lemongrass, lavender and basil for your use. Pick as much as you need, it will grow back!

After a long day of touring the island and sampling local seafood delights, why not relax and enjoy our feature bathroom replicated from the Dreams Hotel in Punta Arenas in Chile. It features a 10 ft cathedral ceiling with 3 sq. ft rainfall shower head with LED lights, shower jets and wand.

If you're feeling for a relaxed evening, then in 5 minutes, you can hop a cab ride into the heart of Charlottetown - whether it's dinner on the water or a show with drinks at Vic Row, you're never far from the action, yet you have the cottage feel of the water.

4 car parking with nothing off limits on the property.

Guests will be provided with our contact information should it be needed throughout your stay. We can interact with you as much or as little as you like.

We love the location of this house as it's just across the bridge from downtown Charlottetown. Downtown has tons of amazing restaurants, bars/rooftop patios, a theater, the waterfront, historical buildings, and much more! The house is also less than a 5 minute drive to groceries and to a liquor store. Everything is close by, however the home which is one of two adjacent homes that we own, is located on 1.2 acres of land, feels peaceful and you will be sure to love it as much as we do.

PEI is a beautiful island to drive and tour. There are countless beaches fairly close by...some of our absolute favorites are about a 40-45 minute drive (and the drives are beautiful).

If you love mussels, oysters, and lobster, PEI is the place for you! Try a lobster supper at one of our favorite restaurants (New Glasgow Lobster Supper) for a local tradition and eat unlimited mussels, chowder, homemade bread and pies until you need to be rolled home!

Our house is not walking distance to downtown Charlottetown, unless you enjoy a brisk 25-30 minute walk.

Renting a car if you arriving by air is recommended as PEI is such a beautiful province to explore by car and sightsee on your own schedule. Stratford transit stops at the No Frills Grocery which is right up the street from the house.

All within 3-5 minute drive from the house:
- Restaurants, coffee shop, post office, liquor store, pharmacy, gas station, butcher, and more!
- A little further and you will find a farmers market, downtown Charlottetown and more.
- For your doggie family, there is the Stratford Dog Park within 3 mins, as well walking trails by the river.

A popular pastime for many new visitors to PEI is cooking Lobster/Bar Clams/Oysters/Quahogs. PEI has an abundance of these seafood treasures. Because of this, we provide an outdoor propane cooker that includes a large aluminum pot and strainer. This allows for the convenience of cooking seafood without having the seafood smell and heat inside the home. We ask that when cooking these types of seafood, that it be done outside on the propane cooker to avoid unpleasant smells for the next guest.

Additionally, if you choose to use the following
- Using our Lobster cooker ... Not a problem, but you are responsible for cleaning all components of the Lobster cooker (pot, lid, strainer and burner)
- Using our BBQ, you are responsible for scraping and removing all surface meat off the grill.

These are extra and "zero cost to you" amenities - we provide these to add to your enjoyment of the properties and to create a memorable stay but not following the cleaning guidelines for these will result in an additional cleaning fee.

Thanks for hanging in there and reading our rules, to show you read the full thing, just put the secret code phrase 'PEI is fun' at the top of your message to us.

A few colleagues of mine came for a quick weekend getaway. This place is a hidden gem. Every room in the house is like a page from the IKEA catalogue. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and tools that you need, and there are board games to keep you entertained. Definitely worth it for a return next time.

Very clean and beautiful house with lovely furnitures and modern bathroom. 10 minutes drive to downtown, a fruit shop and some good restaurants in the neighbor. We really spent some great days in rishi&Diane's house. Very recommend!

Rishi & Diane User ProfileRishi & Diane is a superhost.

We are a couple (with one son) who live to travel, laugh and have fun. Rishi's country count is 95 and Diane will spend her life trying to catch up. ;) Both Canadian born, Rishi grew up in Trinidad and eventually returned to Montreal for university at McGill. Diane grew up in Toronto and went to university in New Brunswick which is when she fell in love with the Maritimes.

We had a destination wedding in Antigua, Guatemala which was followed by a weekend in PEI for some downtime. It was that trip we fell in love with, and purchased our home there.

As guests and hosts, we are respectful, clean and always looking to make the most of our experiences. Our properties are all unique in character and charm, they also reflect our desire to get away from the 9-5 grind and help our guests and friends to create lifetime experiences and memories on the beautiful island of Prince Edward Island.
