Apsara Retreat is a timber chalet, offering rustic mountain charm set near walks and close to attractions.

The tiny house has a spacious verandah, perfect to relax outdoors, bbq and star gaze.

It is set well away from the street, nestled in a private garden, behind our house.

We offer air conditioning, a small kitchenette, no stove/oven but microwave + infinity hot water.

Provided is: fresh linen, towels, bathrobes, as well as free Wifi/smart TV + free Netflix. No free to air tv.

The space
Apsara Retreat is nestled in a quiet garden setting, close to bushwalks, iconic lookouts, Scenic World and just a few minutes by car to Katoomba Village.

A self guided History Walk, park and the local Sports & Aquatic Center with sauna, spa, indoor pool and gym is just a 50 meter walk away. Don't forget to pack your swimmers and gym clothes.

Apsara Retreat would suit the single traveller or a couple who are looking for a tranquille Katoomba base to explore the upper Mountains.

Apsara Day Spa Katoomba is a bespoke boutique spa located on the premises.

The cottage is free standing with a separate entrance. The easy walk is level, no steps and the front door is a large, double door entrance.

We provide self-check in with a key safe.

Parking is just outside the front of the property. We have a wide off street front grass area for parking. Alternatively, there is the Aquatic Center car park just across the street.

Considerations:
For the health of all our guests, we have a no smoking policy. Smoking on the veranda is permitted.

Being a tiny house we offer a basic functional kitchenette with coffee machine, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, microwave, small fridge, glasses, cutlery and crockery.

We provide a small outside bbq. Please clean it before checking out, so it is useable for the next guest.

Before checking out, please clean, dry and put away all kitchen items used. Thank you.

We do have a dog, Shadow, who is very friendly and happy to receive pats, but he is mostly inside.

It is important to close the outer gate after you, to keep Shadow safe on the property.

If you are apprehensive with dogs, please let us know in advance.

Our familiy lives in the front house.

The mountain weather is temperamental, you sometimes can expect all seasons in one day.
Think dressing in layers for outdoors.
It might be hot in Sydney, but here it's cooler.

I recommend to bring comfortable warm clothes, a rain jacket and hiking boots or at least enclosed shoes.

The aquatic sport center is just across the road, so why not pack swimmers and/or gym clothes.

We have free wifi, a smart TV and free netflix, no free to air tv.

Guests are welcome to book at Apsara Day Spa Katoomba.

We have a direct online booking system for the spa on our website or simply message us through the airbnb app.

Neighbourhood highlights

Apsara Retreat & Day Spa is set in a quiet residential area, opposite the aquatic sports center and gully walks.

The old catalina race track is great for walking and cycling. It is a 2 km loop, tared but a bit eroded and over grown.

Leura and Medlow Bath Village are very close. We have a lot of wildlife in the area, birds, echidnas and wallabies can be spotted in the gully opposite from Apsara Retreat.

Katoomba is just a hop and a skip away. Being the main town in the Mountains, it offers a lot of dining, cafes, designer breweries and bars for every budget.

Scenic World is about 5 minutes by car.

High Teas is offered by the main hotels and resorts and are also very popular.
