Location: Pretty good location. 5 minute driving distance to Old Town Pasadena and shopping malls. 30 second walk to Trader Joe's (The first one ever), 2 minutes walk to Whole Foods. Other shopping and dining options are available as well. Getting in: David does a pretty good job describing how to get into the aparment. No issues there. Parking: Parking space for the apartment is marked. If you have big car, you might have trouble getting into the spot because it is a bit small, but you will not have other issues with parking. You will have your dedicated spot. The apartment: Facilities are dated. Also, the apartment is smaller than it seems in the photos, but that might be me not paying enough attention or misjudging the size from the photos. Still, I would recommend it for 4 people tops, unless you will use it solely for sleeping in. 5 or 6 people might be a snug fit. There is a small patio at the entrance, which is nice to sit at. Neighbors: One of the neighbors called the police on me, thinking I was an intruder. It was 11 am, so I found it weird. Plus, the police could have panicked and hurt me. It was so not cool. I would understand this if it was the middle of the night, but 11am is an interesting time when you see a well dressed person and assess it as an intruder. This was my only experience with the neighbors, albeit not a good one. Beds: There is one queen bed in the bedroom and two folding sofas in the living room. The folding sofas are not very comfortable. Cleanliness: Despite being charged a cleaning fee, we did not find a clean apartment. Bathtub was dirty, kitchen floor was sticky, towels were either not cleaned or not cleaned well enough. I would expect to find a clean apartment if all renters pay a cleaning fee. Communication: David was very responsive and attentive. Had no issues about communication whatsoever. He replied to my questions swiftly, and answered most questions even before I asked. Wi-fi: My sister and I used wi-fi without any issues. The speed was good enough for us. It is decent value for what you paid. If the apartment was clean (or no cleansing fee was paid) I would be more satisfied with my stay.

The Good: Location, location, location! 1. It's 15 leisurely-walking-minutes to Old Town Pasadena. Trader Joe's and Lucky Boys are next door. CVS Pharmacy and a Metro Station are across the street. 2. It's near to the 110 Freeway. 3. It's pretty quiet at night. 4. The owner and his assistant communicate very well and are willing to help with any issues in the apartment, should the need arise. The Bad: It's really old but these issues add to the "character" of the apartment. 1. The apartment has the look and feel of a place built in the 1950's and never upgraded. 2. No central AC. The AC unit is in the living room window. There are 2 oscillating floor fans- one in the living room and one in the bedroom. 3. Cracks in almost every wall. The Ugly: 1. Low Water Pressure. There is just enough pressure to take a shower and flush a toilet but not much more. 2. Parking is convenient but difficult to squeeze into if you have a car bigger than a mid-sized sedan or suv because of poles that separate the parking spots. 3. It's noisy in the morning. When the city wakes up, you'll know it because the bedroom window doesn't keep sound out. My wife rated this experience as a 2 out of 5 stars. But I saw it as a "get what you pay for" experience. It was cheap to rent and we knew going in that we would only need the space to hold our clothes, shower, and sleep because we would not spend a lot of time there.

Cute little bungalow. Fully stocked, although there was no way to brew coffee. Other than that, no complaints!

Place was great, close to a lot of stuff and there's a spot for your car. Trader Joe's is right next door there so it was easy to use the kitchen. My only complaint was that because it's a quiet little complex with just a latched gate, easy to open, we had some drugged up guy wander through the complex patting walls/windows and making weird noises. We called the cops and the guy cleared out. The neighborhood looks pretty nice so I think that was not a normal thing to happen there, but it freaked out one of the girls staying with us and she wanted to include that in the review. Overall great spot, especially for the price, and I would stay again.

Great location. Friendly and super communicative host. David fixed the issues that we encountered in the unit very quickly. He also frequently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and even notified us when he was going to be away. The unit is old, outdated ans shows signs of age, wear, and tear. It is furnished with clean linens and a few things in the kitchen. It has a cute patio. Even though the unit had been cleaned prior to our arrival, the carpet is stained, the bathroom and the kitchen would benefit from a deep clean and/or update.
