This light filled art-studio is ideally suited for artists and working professionals who seek extended stays in the Brooklyn Navy Yard neighborhood. Conveniently located adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge on one side and Stiener Studios on the other. Within walking distance to the lively Fort Greene and Clinton Hill neighborhoods.

The space

This legal NY Airbnb space is part of a larger artist, live/work studio. As a result I am selective in terms of who I host, so please share details of yourselves and your trip.

The studio has evidence of real creative work on the floors (for example, paint splatter) and storage units for artwork, debunking romanticized ideas about the lives of artists!

It comes with a small private bedroom with a queen bed, a studio/living area, with a second queen sized futon, a private bath and a very modest kitchenette. Small fridge, microwave, hotplate, electric kettle, coffee plunger, and a small selection of cookware, utensils, and eating/drinking-ware. The private bathroom consists of a granite shower, sink, and toilet. Wireless internet is also available.

As a requirement of the building management, I will ask that guests sign a liability waiver upon sign in. The studio is located in a secure area with private parking.

Please let me know your needs and I will do the most to make this a rememberable experience.

Guest access

Guests require a security pass -on check in- to enter the area. Guest will benefit from a secured entrance.

Interaction with guests

Feel free to ask me anything about the city. I'll be happy to share with you my favorite dives, restaurants, and knowledge of the art community.

Bradley is a fantastic host, and his navy yard air bnb is super awesome and unique! Bradley went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed during my time in his space, and not only was he a great host, but we became genuine friends during the course of my visit. The space itself is a fantastic live/work space right within the navy yard, with a comfortable bed, and fully functioning en suite bathroom. If you're looking for a unique spot to live and work in Brooklyn, that's both secluded in its own way, and close to all the action then I definitely recommend Bradley's place!

We loved the experience of staying at Bradley's studio. He offers a budget-friendly, unique lodging option for adventurous travelers. The neighborhood is great - very close to Manhattan and in proximity to other cool Brooklyn neighborhoods. Being in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard was such a cool experience, highly recommended for history buffs like us. The listing is very clear and we got exactly what we were expecting. Recommended!

Cool space, but must be adventurous! Bradley And Natasha are gracious host who checked in with us often to make sure everything was cool. The space is definitely FUNKY! (Cool funky, not funky funky) But it's definitly NOT a hotel, if thats what you're looking for. Bed was comfortable, futon couch and a couple of chairs. All mismatched! The building itself is very industrial with many business on the floor. But there is a vineyard on the roof to drink at and enjoy the brilliant Manhattan skyline at sunset. Also near is the Kings County Distillery serving only their house made bourbons, ryes and MOONSHINE! All exceptional. I can tell you from experience. Convenient walking distance to DUMBO and all it has to offer. F train to NYC is about a 7 to 10 minute walk. I would say that a week to 10 days is about how long I would stay here. We had to stay for a month while waiting for our new apartment to be ready. It was a bit long to be in a place with no kitchen to speak of (only a toaster oven, microwave , hot plate, hot water kettle and a teeny tiny fridge) But if you are here to be out and about in Brooklyn for a few days or even a week, this is a great fun alternative to a more luxurious arrangement.

Setup of complex was a little complicated, place was kinda grungy, but I'd book again and the hosts were really nice. Location was somewhere between perfect/amazing and the price was decent.

I am a mid-career professional artist and I work from my home studio. One year ago I purchased this loft, after having lived in the building for more than 15-years. I share it with my ten-year old son and our dog. We love the neighborhood and I’m a great resource when it comes to local attractions, kid friendly activities, and the New York art scene.
