Other things to note
A few important points to consider:
1. There is no drinking water available at Porter Lake. We will provide you with jugs of drinking water and a map leading you to a spring on Hawthorne Drive. If you prefer, you can bring water purification tablets or filters for the well water.
2. The lake area has limited reception, offering a perfect environment to unplug, relax, and unwind. However, it may not be ideal for work that requires internet access.
3. This cabin, nestled in the woods, is suitable for all seasons. Expect encounters with wildlife during your stay, possibly even inside the cabin. While we strive to maintain the cabin for guests and the forest for furry friends, encountering a few mice, a red chipmunk, or a chipping sparrow is a possibility.
