Great location

This beautiful, spacious, (2,000 sqft) lakefront cottage with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms is located in Port Maitland facing Lake Erie. Only 1.5 hours from the GTA, it's available for you to enjoy with family and friends in any season or weather.

Have fun in the sun! Swim, fish, or boat in the beautiful lake. Bike, hike, or just kick back and relax. Marvel at crashing waves or calm moonlit waters at your very own private beach. Spend the hours bird-watching, from bald eagles to herons and more.

The space
Amazing water front property with lake views from all principal rooms! South facing home where you can enjoy the morning sun rise and evening sunsets from your patio or upper deck!

The main floor open concept offers a family room with a fireplace accompanied with a games room and a cozy reading nook, a bright, spacious dining room, a kitchen with a walk in pantry that has plenty of space, and a master bedroom with an ensuite that has a separate shower and tub! There are also 3 patio doors on the main level with deck access.

Upstairs you'll find a large bedroom with it's own private balcony, great for relaxing or sun bathing with an amazing lake view, a full bathroom with an air jet tub, and another bedroom and bonus room which is perfect for kids! The fireplace, oven and heating all run on natural gas. The air conditioning is also central air for convenience and efficiency. In the garage, there is a ping pong table, 2 kayaks, 1 rigid SUP, and 1 paddleboat with life jackets available for guest use.

Overall, we are in a peaceful, rural area, minutes south of Dunnville, Ontario, along the Lake Erie shoreline, only 1-2 hours (depending on traffic) from the GTA. We are among only 1-2 rows of houses at the lakeshore, along a 2 km country road, ending at a beautiful sandy beach (that is available only to residents of our dead-end road). At that end is provincial park land (no park access). At the entrance to our road is a lovely 18 hole golf course. Slightly east is a small town, with restaurants, public park, public boat launch, and plenty of great places for fishing, cycling, hiking, etc. There is an RCAF museum nearby. Fishing charters also readily available in the neighbourhood (Lake Erie Perch is served at most restaurants in the area). Port Dover is an hour east - one can spend hours browsing through gift shops, spend the day at the sandy beach, go on a cruise or dine in many small cafes and restaurants. Niagara Falls, one of the world's natural wonders, is only one hour to our west. Nearby, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada's premiere wine country, is also a lovely spot to shop, dine, enjoy theatre, or tour wineries and sample our wonderful ice-wines (a specialty of ours, but a rarity anywhere else in the world).
