The space

Always wondered what was behind those adobe walls? Ring the mission bell, enter large wood gates and into an old world compound. Rancho Alameda is very private and secure where all of the amenities have been carefully thought out for the pleasure and comfort of our guests.

Rancho Alameda abuts a huge arroyo where nature abounds just outside the gate in a multitude of trails and open country. The central Plaza of Santa Fe is 2.7 miles due east as well as a host of restaurants, shops, galleries, natural food groceries, the Railyard and much more. Within a very short walking distance is access to a bike/running/walking trail that begins along the Santa Fe River and goes into town. There is also a coffee shop, natural food Co-op and meat market in the Solana Center along the way.

The Casita, on the property of Rancho Alameda, is situated in a very private setting surrounded with trees, flowers and chimesa. I enjoy meeting and welcoming guests to this oasis in the desert, orienting them, answering any questions and leaving them to the privacy of their own pleasure.

So near and yet so far away...If you love being in nature, enjoy the clear high desert air and beautiful night sky, yet within a very short drive, you are in the center of downtown Santa Fe, this is the place for you to enjoy.

The only bus that comes down our road is a School Bus. The drive to the center of town is a straight shot up Alameda and takes about 6 to 8 minutes. Bicycles can also be provided.

From March to November the plentiful gardens produce organic vegetables, flowers, shade trees and fruits such as apricots, nectarines, berries and almost any thing that grows in the high desert. Rancho Alameda is truly a New Mexico oasis and paradise. We welcome you.
