The Sea Glass is 1 of 6 glamping huts at Mussel Beach Private Getaway. Mussel Beach is a place to rejuvenate in nature whilst enjoying the tranquility of remoteness of off grid glamping.
Mussel Beach Private Getaway is located on the north side of Barclay Sound, with 1.45km of south and east facing oceanfront.
Our property sits between the Long Beach and Broken Group Islands units of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, near Ucluelet.

The space
The hut is a 10 x 10 space which has a double bed and a small table and 2 stools. On the covered deck you will find well equipped outside kitchen. The hut also has its own outside space area which has a picnic table and propane fire pit with a view of the ocean.
Steps away are 2 very clean and well maintained outhouses.

Guest access
Guests have access the beach and the area within Mussel Beach Private Getaway. There a shower house with 4 stalls with their own entrance which are free for our guests. The showers are heated by propane but no power.

Other things to note
We are remote and offgrid so resources like water and power are limited. The hut does not have power but but we supply power packs that can charge cell phones and cameras. It has solar power lights . The hut also has a diesel heater to take the chill out of the air. We do supply drinking and wash water. The hut has a cooler and freezer packs to store your food in. The outside kitchen come with a camp stove, BBQ and all your basic kitchen items to cook and wash dishes with.(pots, dishes, utensils ect)
We share our space with lots of wildlife and all guest must adhere to the Bare Aware Program, you can look up their website wildlifebc to find out more info. We will also go over the program with you when you arrive. We are off an 8km gravel road so vehicles with a bit of clearance are recommended. Due to the wildlife we can not store large amounts of garbage. Please take your garbage and recycling with you when you check out. We can supply extra bags.

My husband Curtis and I run a Wilderness campground during the summer season on Vancouver Island . We live in an off grid cabin within the campground and enjoy sharing our little piece of paradise with our guest. We have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren. In the off season we enjoy traveling . We prefer road trips and like to book as we go so we are free to change our plans as opportunities arise. We enjoy getting to know people along the way and experiencing different ways of life. We are "stop and smell the roses" kind of people.
