Charming character, cute animals and a central LOCATION: This newly "retouched", 1940's farmhouse, nestled in the heart of a picturesque mountain hollow, with barnyard views of a working sheep/goat farm is a postcard waiting to be sent. Just 9 miles to Canaan and Timberline, 11 miles to Seneca. Day trip to Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob, or catch your favorite band at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas. Step back in time, unplug, change the pace, wonder the 70 acres, pet a goat, simply put, get away!

The space
An eclectic mix of vintage camp + original homestead decor makes the feel of the house warm and fun. It's the perfect spot for a retreat to just settle in to or use it as your basecamp for endless wilderness adventure in any direction. Pour some wine and spend time taste testing those new recipes you've been dying to try in the sun filled and thoughtfully stocked kitchen. Fill up the, beautifully restored, 6 ft clawfoot tub, aprés ski style or make it the main event. Sit a spell on the front porch swing after your hike and smell the perennial blooms or maybe catch a rain storm bouncing off the tin roof. Pop a top or some popcorn fire (pit) side under a blanket of stars. Pick a game and pull up some chairs around the farmhouse table and when you're looking for some alone time, escape to the “smart room" with hardback cowboy classic from our collection and a french pressed coffee. Get up here and just get lost in the beauty, the quiet and experience a simpler place and time!

During your stay

Our home is located just up the road on the 70 free range acres but you can't see us and we can't see you other than in passing on the shared road, and in our opinion it's the perfect set up to provide wonderful hospitality while also giving our guests lots of privacy and space to breathe. We're here if you need something or want us for a farm tour but we are out of sight and out of mind when you don't . We like to ask our quests what type or amount of interaction they like or expect, some, none, dinner on our patio it's all okay with us. We get it, some of you are here to be gone!
