A beautiful house in a beautiful location. So much to see and do. We really enjoyed all the activities on offer at the house (darts, badminton, BBQs and hot tub) as well as lots cycling on quiet country roads, trips to the bakery and visiting all of the local tourist attractions. The house and garden are stunning and Mike and Lynda are brilliant hosts. We hope to be back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Cottage Normand! The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable and has everything you need, we had plenty of room (family of four). We really enjoyed the outside/garden area especially the BBQ and hot tub. The surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. There are games and bikes available which we made good use of, we cycled around the country lanes and rarely passed a car. The local supermarket is a few minutes drive away which is really handy. You could not ask for more helpful or kinder hosts than Mike and Lyn. Nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel very welcome and they also made perfect recommendations for us as they know the area so well. It was great to meet them and stay in their lovely place. We would definitely recommend the cottage, it is a great place to either relax and enjoy the Normandy countryside or to use as a base for exploring all the area has to offer. Thank you Mike and Lyn, we hope to return one day!

Response from Lynda:
Great family who appreciated everything and made full use of all that the Cottage has to offer. We have lived in France for many years now and it was great for us to share our knowledge with guests who were enthusiastic to make the absolute most of their visit. They left the Cottage in an extremely clean condition and we would welcome them back any time. Great to meet them. The only negative was that their son supported the wrong North West 'Reds' but "Hey" he's young and he'll learn!

10 stars for everything! The house is beautiful, fully equipped with everything you need, and even more. We all totally agree that is even nicer than on the pictures. The location is just perfect if you need a getaway in the nature. Beautiful landscapes all around with many activities an things to see. Even with the bad weather one day, we enjoyed just being in this lovely decorated cottage. Mike and Lynda are super nice people. It's not only that the communication was perfect, but they even joined us at the dinner in the restaurant one evening and shared great stories about the life in Normandy. They give their best to make the guests happy. Guys, thank you once more everything! Hopefully we see you again!

Very beautiful cottage set in an idyllic countryside village. I would say that the pictures don't do it justice, as it is much more beautiful in real life. Mike and Lynda were just lovely! They have even decorated the house for us, so it was all festive and cosy! Communication was really good, in spite of the distance . We had a lovely time, exploring the surroundings and enjoying the cottage.

Cottage Normandy is truly wonderful place, we love this little paradise so much! All details of interior are beautiful and useful. It is really warm inside during cool autumn days. Distance from Domfront is very short and it is just few minutes by car and also nice ride on bicycle. Best place to have vacation in Normandy! Many thanks to Mike and Lynda!

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, a special hiding place or just a touch of British nestled in the heart of Normandy’s countryside, look no further. Le Cottage Normand is everything we had hoped for and more. On arrival, Lynda and Mike gave us a warm welcome into their charismatic “Colombage”, renovated with years of love (and probably a serious dose of blood sweat and tears) with their own hands, as though they had Airbnb in mind from the start. As they discretely drove off into the distance (their home is 20 mins away), we opened our welcome present, a delicious local cider, and the adventure began! The area is home to Calvados, apple and / or pear cider and happy cows. For our young children there were tons of fun outings including The “Enchanted Village”, the bicycle on train tracks experience, the lake with its own beach and various random meetings with countryside animals. And for us parents, once the little ones were tucked in, one exquisitely memorable evening after another...under the stars in the pristine garden with views over the corn fields and the cows, or inside the cottage, lounging on one of the sumptuous English style sofas and enjoying the cottage’s unique and unforgettable atmosphere. This is definitely a top notch Airbnb hidden treasure.

My husband Mike and myself are a bubbly couple who have a wealth of experience looking after guests.
Both Mike and I were born in Manchester, UK and Mike is mad about United.
Lyn can't live in France without certain essentials ie. Heinz baked beans, Warburtons bread, bacon and marrowfat peas.
Mike misses going to Old Trafford.
Lyn loves all the old musicals and Mike likes to read in a long hot bath!
