Extraordinary home in Yelapa. Great for entertaining, dinner parties poolside or simply unwinding from the day to day hustle. Nestled above the Bay of Yelapa, Casa Sanctuary provides you with incredible ocean & sunset views, privacy, a swimming pool, comfortable sleeping quarters, full kitchen & a deep intimacy with the jungle that's full of beautiful birds & flowers. It is a magical place & worth the trek up the steps.

The closest airport is PVR (Puerto Vallarta).

The space
We have two separate casas on the property that adjoin each other. The rental includes both. The large casa is typical Palapa style of open, indoor/outdoor living.

Main casa: Faces the ocean with a full view of the Pueblo. It has an outstanding view of the ocean and out-of-this- world sunsets overlooking the pool. The kitchen is updated with top of the line appliances including a 6 burner stove, oven. The dinning room table seats 12 and is great for large dinner parties and excellent for board/card games after dinner. The main casa has three bedrooms. Bedroom one is located on the first floor and has a king size bed. Bedroom two is located on the second floor with a king size and single size bed. The master bed room has a king size 75" flat screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime movies.

Second casita: Faces the mountains and jungle with views of the canyon heading towards the back waterfall. The first floor has a newly remodeled kitchen with a dinning table. The bathroom and shower are also located on the first floor. The bedroom is located on the second floor. It has a new pillow top king-size bed a queen size bed. There is also a nice hammock to relax in as well.

NOTE: The house is not kid friendly for children under the age of 10 years old.

Guest access
Guest access: We are located on the hill above the NE side of the bay just above the Hotel Lagunita. It's a 5 minute walk up approximately 300 stairs to get to our Casa. Stairs are paved and well worth the walk when you see the view and privacy you and your guests have.

Other things to note
Upon arrival: One of our staff members will great you at the pier by Hotel Lagunita. If you like, they can have a mule to carry your luggage to the house for a propina (Tip--$100 pesos per trip is customary). Once at the house they will take a few moments to get you familiarized with the property. Should you need anything, they can help. We ask that guest don't use the pizza oven. If you would like to have a pizza night we can make arrangements for a chief to come to the house and make pizzas for you and your guest. Inquire within for pizza night pricing. The house is not kid friendly due to the stairs and balconies.

Neighbourhood highlights

The neighborhood is very safe and private. The view is amazing. You can see the pueblo, the river, the beach, and the jungle from our location. There are many species of birds that live in or migrate through the area. We get full sun from mid-morning on. Many of our guests prefer to spend a few hours poolside in the sun before heading down to the beach.
Also, there are great restaurants and a small grocery at the bottom of our hill.
