Wow! Where do I start...? We LOVED our stay at Marilyn and Clay's beautiful roundhouse at Eagle Lake Ranch and will be looking to return at the next chance we get. Clay and Marilyn were the perfect hosts leading up to our arrival, with very clear instructions on how to get to the ranch and advice on where to pick up gas and groceries. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the farm animals (cows, horse and hens) and Clay was there to show us around and introduce us to his adorable dogs who made us feel like we'd been adopted into the pack straight away! One of the dogs, Tammy, was our loyal guide when we ventured down to the lake to do some kayaking, swimming and fishing ❤️ and when we returned to the roundhouse to cook dinner and sit by the fire pit for some s'mores. The roundhouse was lovely and we all (5 adults) had the pick of various places to sleep - up in the roof there's a beautiful double bed, downstairs there are various single and double beds, and the middle floor has two generously sized single beds. We enjoyed tending to the fires, both indoors and out, and toasting our morning bagels on the wood-burning stove (there's a gas stove as well). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone that is looking for a getaway in the rural Chilcotin. We're just sorry it's so far from Vancouver otherwise we'd be tempted to go every weekend! Thanks again to Marilyn and Clay, our wonderful hosts.

Marilyn and Clay have been wonderful and attentive hosts! Their beautiful guesthouse provides a real pioneer and ranch feeling, it is well kept, clean and cosy, and with a 360 degree view into a beautiful landscape. We enjoyed our stay very much, and had the possibility to get a glimpse into a working ranchs daily life. Everything has been the way as decribed, and we and our children would love to come again!

My husband Clay and I moved to the Chilcotin in 2004, to homestead and raise our children. Wow, what a adventure this has been. Twelve years later we have 3 grown children, micro hydro power and a small cattle ranch. We have never worked harder or been challenged in so many ways. We have been blessed in this beautiful piece of nature and are excited to share our adventures with you.
