Sandhill House features a large open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and two stories of expansive windows looking out over the La Cloche Mountains and Georgian Bay.
Sandhill is the perfect place for gathering with loved ones either indoors or out or for those renting several of our cabins, as the living area is substantial in this cottage.

The space
Ten Mile Point Resort began as a single cottage (now Eagle House) perched on the cliffside overlooking Lake Huron and the La Cloche mountains. In 2022 we built 5 modern, Scandinavian-style cabins along the bluff - each with a unique design and appeal, all with the same breathtaking views. The resort spans 90 mostly forested acres and in the summer of 2024 three new modern cabins opened on the lakefront adding another unique TMP experience.
Centrally located to all Manitoulin Island's sights and services, TMP is guaranteed to offer the tranquility of the country-side while still being a quick drive into Little Current and all amenities. Each cabin is fully stocked to ensure your comfort and feature decks with BBQs, comfortable seating and fire pits overlooking the lake for maximum indoor/outdoor living.
Please note that for guests staying in one of our cliff-side cabins, there is no access to the lake for our cliff-side guests. We encourage guests who wish to have lake access to book one of our waterfront cabins.

Guest access
You have full, private access to the cabin and deck areas and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.
Sandhill is equipped with its own BBQ, firepit and outdoor seating.
Other things to note
GUESTS: Sandhill House is suitable for up to 4 adults but has a very spacious layout for those renting multiple cabins and hoping to gather together indoors. Please reach out to us directly if you are hoping to rent Sandhill for a group larger than 4.
WATER: Tap water is potable
COFFEE: There is a Keurig machine in the cabin and we provide a limited number of basic coffee "pods" per stay. K-cup pods are available at any grocery store if you wish to bring more.
A French press is also supplied.
SEPTIC: We are on a septic system, please take care not to put anything other than toilet paper in the toilet. Please do not dispose of grease in the sinks or toilet.
COOKING: Salt, pepper and vegetable oil are provided.
BBQ: BBQ and propane are provided.
FIREWOOD: Your cabin features an outdoor fire pit. In the warmer months we sell firewood on-site for $15 a bag which includes kindling and a fire-starting cube.
AIR-CONDITIONING: We do not have air-conditioning and recognize there are a few days each year it can be quite warm. As we are on the lake we get nice breezes and rarely find heat to be a concern. For your comfort the cabin has many opening windows with screens and either ceiling or portable fan.
CLEANING FEE: We have kept our cleaning fee at a modest rate and employ local residents to do our cleaning. This creates jobs on the island as well as keeps the fees low for our guests. We are lucky to have a great team and many of our reviews note our excellent level of cleanliness.
PETS: Dogs are welcome in all of our cabins. We charge an additional cleaning fee per dog per stay to ensure the cabin is pet-free for the next guest.
Please keep your dog off the furniture or bring along a blanket for them to lay on.
Please keep your dog on-leash at all times on the common property and ensure to clean up after them. We ask that you not leave your dog in the cabin alone at any time.

EXTRA CLEANING AND LAUNDRY SERVICE: We are happy to provide extra cleaning or laundry services during your stay for an additional fee.
TIPPING: Tips for our cleaning staff are appreciated but not expected. As with hotel stays, it is always nice for our staff to be rewarded for a job well done. All tips left go directly to our crew.
Please note there is no lake access from Sandhill House.
