Highly rated host

Take a deep breath of Adirondack air in this newly restored, two-bedroom house with kitchen, lots of natural light, private trails, and a campfire.

Centrally located as a hub for local activities; 6 miles from Saranac Lake and 14 miles from Lake Placid; easy travel to nearby waterways, Adirondack hiking trails, and Donnelly’s famous ice cream stand!

Situated on a 50-acre homestead previously belonging to an Adirondack legend known as Hawkeye (it's quite a story!).

The space
We call this quaint house, Ben’s Place - and it sat empty and abandoned for the past 40 years. But with the help of friends and family, we have restored it into a warm and restful getaway. The knotty pine walls, granite counter tops, and river rock bathroom floor flow together to make a earthy and comfortable place of retreat.

Shane and Ashley have journeyed through life together for over 22 years. They have 3 children. After some urban journeys, they moved to the Adirondacks. The last 4 years have been spent restoring the homestead once owned by the Adirondack legend simply known as "Hawkeye." Current projects include beginning a fiber flock with 4 Corriedale ewes and beginning to grow produce in greenhouse and gardens.
