1000 Islands waterfront. 30' motor yacht, stays at our dock or anchor just out front! Fishing, swimming & outdoor activity. Access is by ferry; Grocery store, banks, shops, BMX & skateboard park in Gan. Pack'n'Play (playpen) may be available if needed, just ask. Owners live next door so boat tours & fishing getaways can be arranged. The space is great for a couple, friends who fish together, or anyone looking to get away from the hustle of city life.

The space
Experience life on the water in the 1000 Islands! (The boat will stayed moored at our dock.)

This space is cozy with a charming atmosphere. Featuring a comfy queen bed, tiny kitchen & a bathroom with shower, we invite you to stay at the island for a night or a few!

Flushing the toilet is easy; simply pull the hand lever up & push it down a few times. The sides of the toilet bowl can be rinsed with water by flipping the switch above the hand pump.

When you have a shower, please remember to pull the silver knob out located under the sink on the right side of the cabinet. This will activate the drain.

To light the stove, turn the propane switch on (the small red toggle switch on the cabinet under the sink), turn the heat on & use the yellow lighter to ignite the burner.

Remember to bring drinking water with you! We'll leave a jug in the fridge & have more in case you need it, but don't drink the tap water, as it's from a well (it won't kill you but...just bring water).

Also, please note that you can't flush tampons in this toilet. I mean, you "could" so don't try to prove me wrong, but it won't go over well & you'll clog the system.

Our island property is off-grid...which means that while we do have lights & hot water, our power is created through solar panels & stored in batteries. When lights & fans are left on unnecessarily throughout the daytime, the energy in the batteries is drained so a generator will come on at night. Please don't leave lights or fans on when the space is empty.

Please note that as this space is a boat & therefore potentially awkward to move around in or to access, guests with mobility difficulties or balance issues should not attend. Accessing the boat from the dock requires taking a big step up onto a narrow ledge. Entering the boat interior requires stepping down a slanted ladder. There are 2 stairs to enter the kitchen & bathroom. There are 2 stairs going into the bedroom in the other direction.

Please don't play with any buttons/switches/levers/steering wheels on either of the dashboards or the fuses on the side wall.

We have other rental spaces, as well as our house, on the properties located behind the boat. This is mentioned because there may be noise due to music & guests talking around the campfire. We have a policy for everyone to lower their volume by 11pm, with respect to the township noise violation, but it's something a guest should be aware of prior to booking a stay on the mini yacht. Guests may also hear the roaring motors of boats in the channel & the calls of loons!
