Where you’ll be

East Sussex, England, United Kingdom

Pett Village is a quiet, rural village on the south coast of England, just a few minutes from Pett Level beach and a short drive to the historical towns of Rye and Hastings. It is ideally located for country walks, days on the beach or simply to enjoy the wonderful views and nature.

The Oak Nest is situated next to the Royal Oak, a charming Grade II village pub, serving a wide range of beers and cask ales and a traditional menu. Opposite the pub is the village cricket ground.

For shopping, there is a well stocked Co-Op in the nearby Winchelsea Beach (10 minutes drive). For larger shops, there are supermarkets in Rye and Hastings.

The surrounding villages offer a perfect combination of history, charm and intrigue with many excellent walking and cycle routes, nature reserves and picturesque beaches.

There are many nearby attractions and activities including water sports, cycling, fishing, horse riding, swimming, bird watching, a variety of National Trust and English Heritage properties, the famous Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and Dungeness Lighthouse, the historic towns of Rye and Battle, along with traditional seaside entertainments (pier, funfair, Aquarium and the Smugglers Adventure in Hastings) and fairly local cinemas and a theatre. You should not be short of things to do here!
