Private four-season riverside cottage conveniently located between Minden, Kinmount, & Haliburton just outside the town of Gelert.

Beautifully decorated interior with cozy rustic log cabin décor and an open concept layout.

Wooded spacious property layout with a beautiful river shoreline that is perfect for nature lovers, all season adventurers and those who simply are in need of a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

The space
Our cottage includes a large kitchen, dining table with 6 chairs, bar table with 4 chairs and living room with a sofa, 2 comfy chairs and large flat screen TV.

Three bedrooms including king size bed in the master with full ensuite, large flat screen TV and walkout to private balcony overlooking the river. The second bedroom includes a queen size bed with laundry closet, the third bedroom has a comfy double bed and sliding barn door.
*Bed linens and bath/river towels are not provided.

Amenities include refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, water cooler, coffee maker, washer, dryer, toaster, ice machine, utensils, dishes, electric fireplace, air conditioning, furnace and more.
*Kitchen dishcloths are not provided.

Back deck includes a patio table with umbrella, serving table and 6 chairs with 2 sliding doors to access the cottage. BBQ is just off the deck.

Enjoy a stargazing soak or your morning coffee in the hot tub overlooking the river.

Relax riverside at the end of the day by a crackling fire great for telling stories and roasting s'mores. Also, there is plenty of green grass for kids to run and play games.

River has a grassy approach with river rock bottom (water shoes highly recommended) and is great for swimming or sitting in with one of the provided river chairs.

Surrounded by mature trees and wildlife in all directions including blue jays, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, dragon flies, wood peckers, wild turkeys, ducks, geese, turtles and sometimes if your lucky a deer all at your doorstep.

Enjoy a beautiful nature stroll down the Haliburton County Rail Trail. Or admire the beautiful Kawartha Lakes waterways as you paddle through the perfect combination of scenery, wildlife and friendly rapids. Whether in a canoe or kayak, this experience will be one to remember and can be accessed right from our shoreline. (Burnt River System Canoe Route)

Not just for spring and summer, this four-season property shows extraordinary fall colours and there are countless winter adventures that can be had.

ATV and snowmobile enthusiast’s welcome! Cottage driveway crosses rail trail which is extremely convenient. Main road and trails are close enough to hop on within a couple minutes but far enough that the cottage is still extremely private.

Extra large driveway to accommodate ATV, snowmobile or boat trailers. OFSC Snowmobile & HATVA ATV Trails cross road located at the entrance of cottage driveway. Choice of 3 trail directions to start from Kinmount, Haliburton or Minden.
**TRAIL PASSES REQUIRED FOR ATV/SXS. Visit HATVA and/or OFSC websites to purchase.

Boat or fish on the largest lake chain in the Haliburton area. Boat launch is only 10 minutes up the road.

If you’re feeling a little adventurous, we highly recommend trying a relaxing river tube float. *Don’t forget your river tubes

Or simply sit back in one of our lounge chairs and chill in the warm summer sun letting your worries float down the river.
